Had a client yesterday from Bosnia, had a nice chat about WC, he is flying there on Friday to support his national team. I am really jealous.

Nba has alot to learn of flopping from soccer.

Soccer flopping is on a whole other level

those S.Americans mastered it to perfection. Italians, Portuguese and Greeks are very good at it as well.

but what a terrible way to screw first match. No penalty whatsoever here, simple play on and even possibly a yellow card for dive for Brazilian player...

They need instant replay for these penalties in the box.

Horrible call on croatia.

Also called a handball earlier on croatia when the ball hit the dude in the face and never touched a hand or part of the arm.

That's biggest problem in FIFA when it comes to refs. Every World cup some dude from third world country screws some games ( remember last cup when USA got screwed as well) . They try to be politically correct to get refs from all over the world for world cup and no offense but these dudes from countries where football is at very poor level can't be as good as world class refs from Europe. I say screw political correctness and get all the best refs no matter if 99% of them will be from Europe.

Croatia gets semi screwed again

Anybody know why they dont just stop the game clock when there is stoppage in the game? (Out of bounds, PK, fouls, goalie holding the ball, etc)

Are there anymore world cup games on the telly today?

No more games today. At the end of the day Brazil deserved to win despite bogus penalty. Croatia still has good chances on advancing.

Because a half is already 45 mins.
but they add the stoppage time anyway.

why not just have it play out in real time instead of this mystery stoppage time thing?

Football is one of the most conservative sports when it comes to rule changes. Not sure it will ever happen ( real time stoppage during breaks).

agreed.
american football and basketball seem to make pretty big changes quite often but soccer rarely ever does it seems. (i like what they did with the spraypaint line on free kicks though)

i guess when you are that popular worldwide you feel there is no reason to try to improve things.
imo that is a dumb way to do business (i believe you should make adjustments to the game over time to make it better if you can)

Brazil looks week in the mid field... Keep giving the ball up... They will easily win the group but it doesn't bold well for them going forward!!
