What's new

Hayward - has his own blog and logo ....

As a free agent, is Hayward allowed to work out with the team prior to signing a contract? Not sure if there is a distinction given that his rights are still held by the Jazz. I know contracts can't be discussed until July 1st.

I believe after July 1st he could workout. However if it is discovered he was contacted by another team they would fined for tampering. Though I don't think he would workout for another team. If he gets hurt it would reduce his leverage.

On the overall threat I can see a sign'n'trade looming.

I didn't think white people could have their own site dedicated to themselves without being declared racist.

Huh.

I'm wondering if he can workout or even have contact with the Jazz FO and coaches before July 1st. Much has been made of Burke, Gobert, etc. coming to Utah to work or at least meet with Snyder. I'm thinking...and I may be completely wrong...that Hayward couldn't do so even if he wanted.

I think Gordon's agent made a mistake getting this website up and running, but I don't read much into it. Gordon is just letting other people plot his course.

The mistake is I personally think there is a good chance he won't get an RFA offer and won't come to an agreement with the Jazz. RFA teams will be forced to bid higher than they want and will refuse; meanwhile, the Jazz will bid lower than Gordon wants.

I think Gordon wants to be a free agent and will roll the dice on financial security. The website becomes an albatross in that context, or more likely he ignores it like DWill's website.

Good bye "G Time". I hope you enjoy your nice life in a new city, and some team enjoys your inconsistent game.

I learned a tough lesson when I started my own website a year ago, www.bongofanz.com

I have a feeling Gordie bout to learn that saaaaame lesson.

That both of you banked on a level of value that isn't there, yet... ever?

Hope we resign Hayward below 11m mark, and he returns to being the player I really liked and believed in. Used to think he could have a few al star games, but def don't believe he should be paid like one until he proves that.

The Spurs are such a great team that I thought it would be appropriate to write my second blog entry about what makes them unique, specifically their star trio of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, because they’re a really inspirational group that young players in the league, like me, can look up to.

Manu speaks to the mentality all the Spurs have of doing whatever they are asked to do for the good of the team. They needed him to be a spark off the bench, so he said, ‘Okay, I’ll do it,’ and thrived in that position.

Time to see if you meant it.

Imagine what kind of house he's going to buy in Utah with his checks. If you're a real estate agent, time to start courting him.

Gonna get some rims on dat Honda Accord too.

Not just the rims!
