Here is the evidence:
#1-Kanter can shoot the ball from the outside
Alot of Jazz guys said Enes has a great 3 point shot (Locke, Perrin, Lindsey). We all know he has a smooth mid range jumper but there is not much evidence of this three point shot on film. The only video I could find was his pre-NBA draft workout vid:

#2-GM Dennis Lindsey says so:

With Atlanta (Snyder was the assistant) Millsap went from taking 0.5 threes per game to 3 three pointers per game. Clearly Corbin was an extension of Sloan's philosophy that you must bang inside and the three point shot was very much undervalued.
This makes me think that this is why Dennis was not a fan of Corbin. He saw the perfect stretch 4 to use in an offense and Kanter was going to waste.
Kanter really will flourish under Snyder. If he can get in a little bit better shape and that shoulder will be fully healed he is going to have an awesome year.

“Frankly, that’s nonsense,” Lindsey said in regard to criticism about Favors and Kanter not being able to play together. “Enes can really shoot the ball. And Derrick can really anchor a defense from a rebounding, shot-blocking standpoint.
“In combination going forward, they’ll be fine,” the GM continued."
