Following potential 2014 draftees

IIRC, there was a poorly translated article that indicated it would happen. His name has been mentioned in some interviews, and I think some jazz execs have said they will talk this summer.

Hes interesting IMO, in the context of this summers FA Center crop and his potentially low cap #, clearly the Jazz could use him if one of Kanter or Favors is traded.

Maybe its crazy but id rather have Tomic for a few mil then Gortat or Spencer Hawes for 3 years 30 million. It leaves much more wiggle room for the Jazz to add Trevor Ariza, or even maybe Luol Deng, Kyle Lowry or Avery Bradley

It was a translation that tied back to Perrin's interview. Yes, Walt did say they were talking about the possibility of him coming over and will also decide on Raul. I think a lot of it depends on how the draft goes.

Parker didn't go hard in his workout at Cleveland. Apparently he prefers Milwaukee over Cleveland.

https://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/233872/Jabari-Parker-Prefers-Bucks-Over-Cavaliers

A source says Jabari Parker strongly prefers to play for the Milwaukee Bucks, something that the Cleveland Cavaliers appear to be aware of.

Parker worked out for the Cavaliers on Friday and two sources said he seemed indifferent. One source thought Parker "tanked" the workout.

"Jabari wasn't himself," one source said. "It was clear we weren't his first option."

But the Cavaliers are still leaning toward taking Parker over Andrew Wiggins

ROFL. David Aldridge usually has some good stuff on the draft, loaded with quotes from exec's and scouts. I understand he prefaced this mock with a few paragraphs about why mocks are bogus, but still...

Its the first mock ive seen with Walter Tavares to the Jazz at 23, though he doesnt seem to think the Jazz will keep #23, citing the young talent on the roster and a list of teams that do not have 1st round picks

Nik Stauskas at #5 is really bad, but this is inexcusable;

25) Houston
Needs: Stretch four, even more shooting
Pick: Aaron Harrison, SG, Kentucky
With the Rockets desperate to clear max cap room to take a run at somebody -- LeBron, Carmelo, Love, take your pick (owner Les Alexander is determined to make another splash and the Rockets don't really care who it is) -- they won't be keeping this pick in all likelihood. Harrison showed his mettle in the NCAA Tournament, and he'll be a solid contributor right away. (If Indiana is looking to get into the first and isn't sure it can re-sign Lance Stephenson, Harrison would make an awful lot of sense here for the Pacers.)

"If and when I reach my full potential, I think I will be better than everybody [in this draft]," Gordon said. "I think I will have an edge."

I ****ing love this from AG. This and other quotes from the kid actually bump him up my board. We absolutely need a killer.

^^
LOL, didn't catch the Harrison pick for Houston. I was too busy laughing at Stauskas going at #5.

It is changed now... In other new David Aldrige is next in line for the Minnesota or Cleveland GM jobs from what I can see.

Found this on another forum, can somone with insider confirm this is in chad fords latest mock?

"Sources say that the foot and back fractures aren't the only issues with Embiid's physical. There are several other issues that need to be addressed."

"Sources say that the foot and back fractures aren't the only issues with Embiid's physical. There are several other issues that need to be addressed."

From his mock:

Embiid could go No. 3 to the Sixers (or to the Cavs in a Sixers-Cavs swap) or to the Magic at No. 4. But if he slides past both of those teams (I don't see the Jazz taking the risk on Embiid) there's an increasing belief that GM Danny Ainge won't let him slide further. Ainge always has been a gambler and has always emphasized having great assets, and Embiid has the potential to be a franchise center, and there's no one else on the board that the Celtics are in love with.
There are a few caveats. The Celtics, like everyone else, are still gathering medical info. Sources say that the foot and back fractures aren't the only issues with Embiid's physical. There are several other issues that need to be addressed. Something they see in the next four days could scare them away. And second, the Celtics are engaged in a number of different trade scenarios that could alter this plan (by either trading the pick or getting an established star that would necessitate getting a player in the draft who could help them now.).
If the Celtics pass on Embiid, I believe Gordon is their top target. If he's gone, Marcus Smart seems to be the next guy up. The Celtics love his toughness and think he can play with Rondo as well as free them up to explore Rondo deals.

Maybe carbon dating has revealed he's actually 40 years old.

With his signing of a new 3 year deal, I hope Saric drops to Utah at #23. I don't think he will, but, I can hope!
Gordon/Vonleh at #5 and Saric at #23 would be a great draft.

Now I see NBADRAFT.NET having us take McDaniels using our second round pick. If he's there at 35 I would take him. He's going to be playing in the NBA for the next ten or more seasons based on his defensive awesomeness alone.

JUST REALIZED WHO VONLEH REMINDS ME OF!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I think 21 to OKC is absolute latest he will fall, but you never know.

Sound like Fran Vasquez. Stay away from him even at 23. Just a wasted pick.

IF he is there at 23 you take him. We would probably have to wait 3 years. The Bulls have done the same with Mirotic. By the way for our European posters, any reason Mirotic's minutes are down lately?
