Following potential 2014 draftees

I'm guessing the Jazz and possibly the Celtics are offering viable deals to trade up to #3 and Philly is looking at Gordon and Smart as a result.

So.... the Jazz could trade up to #3, likely for Exum, trade up to #1, likely for Wiggins, or sit at #5 for whichever of Gordon/Vonleh/Randle they like.

Then I'd bet they have at least another deal or two involving #23 and a player they don't really want to pay in a year.

This might seem a little far fetched, but here is something that would really make me happy.

1-4 is Wiggins, Parker, Exum, and Vonleh in some order. Embiid is there at 5 and say the Celtics really wants him.

Jazz in: #6, #12

Jazz out: #5, #23, #35

Celtics in: #5

Celtics out: #6, #17

Magic in: #17, #23, #35

Magic out: #12

Jazz get Gordon at 6 and a shooter at 12.

Celtics get Embiid at 5.

Magic get Vonleh at 4, Ennis at 17, they have 23 and 35 to play with.

Lol one can wish.

So Randle is not a Jazzman ...

35 plus cash = late first rounder

It all comes down to who the Jazz draft at #5 (or #1) and who the Jazz may/may not give up.
Draft Wiggins or Gordon, and I'd like to see Utah try to trade up with the #23 and #35 for someone like Payne. Go with Vonleh, and then Kyle Anderson or KJ McDaniels or Hairston makes sense. There are so many good players available outside the lottery and into the 2nd round. I even think the Jazz may buy some additional 2nds to "draft and stash." Why else would Dennis say in an interview some 2nd woulds be available for purchase? I think DL tries to give us little nuggets here and there while not disclosing too much. He's more open than KOC. Last year, leading up to the draft, he said there was an international player teams were sleeping on. We guessed it was Gobert and we were right; Lindsey got back into the first and grabbed him.

They will also likely use the #35 plus cash to get into the late first round with a team in the "clear cap space" mode who does not want to commit to first round rookie scale contract. If they covet talent at that spot that the believe will not be there at 35

Sounds like a guy who wants to go to LA at #7.

5. Noah Vonleh
PF (Indiana - Freshman)
18.8 years old | 6'9" | 247 lbs

With the Jazz recently publicly acknowledging that the organization views Derrick Favors as more of a center than a power forward, it's increasingly clear that the team will be looking strongly at the group of power forwards on the board here, in addition to the guard crop. Vonleh is viewed as having the potential to stretch NBA defenses eventually with his outside shooting ability, which is a major need of the team and one coveted by incoming head coach Quin Snyder.

23. P.J. Hairston
SG (Tex Legends - Junior)
21.4 years old | 6'5" | 229 lbs

Utah ranked as one of the worst perimeter shooting teams in the NBA last year, and will be looking to address this issue in a major way this offseason. Enter Hairston, who already has NBA range on his jumper to go along with the confidence to make shots from anywhere on the floor. Off-court concerns are holding his stock back, but with the type of culture the Jazz already have in place, they can probably afford to roll the dice here.

Bogdanovic at 35, this might be one of my favorite Dx's mocks all year for Utah.

@DraftExpress
Hearing enough solid intel now from some well-connected sources to keep Wiggins at #1, probably through the draft. Wasn't sure for a while.

So i guess there wont be any workout videos for wiggins, randle, or exum
:-(

Curious as to why not

New Wiggins workout vid

thank you.

my thoughts

his handle still looks a little loose/sloppy at times.
his jumper looks beautiful
he is long and quick.
#BOUNCY
his spin move is quite a weapon

he will be a very good defender.
who know if he will be an alpha dog leader.

i want him in a jazz uniform

Watching that video his dribble is unnecessarily high. On the down stroke of his dribble he release near his knees but he catches the ball on the up stroke near his hips. It should be lower.
