With the Fifth Pick... Dante Exum

I just hope that the Magic were super excited about Gordon rather than ugh on Exum. I hope it was a tough decision. I'm kinda worried it wasn't.

Compare how we're feeling with how Philly fans must be feeling.

Basically... They've already started their tank for next year... And the year after since Saric plans to play 2 years abroad.

Just... Wow.

Btw, Anderson fell to the Spurs. Other than McBuckets, was there ever a more perfect match?

Thats my main concern. ORL saw Exum at the work out VS Smart... I wonder ehat they saw? Was he not very good? Could he not score against Smart? Poor shooting? What?

Man, that Zach Lavine reaction is priceless. So funny. So glad we didn't draft him.
So glad we got Exum and Hood. Awesome draft.

My guess is that Gordon's athleticism, great work ethic, and great motor just won them over. Exum in their eyes was probably more of a risk comparatively. Gordon will be a good player at the NBA level, right? The sky is the limit if the shot drastically improves as well. I think he's in their view the safer pick with a higher floor and possibly just as high of a ceiling. That's why I believe they took him over Exum.

What an ***.

Yes, minny probably deserves to be boycotted for as crappy as they are. But c'mon.'how many millions have played hoops and will never even be drafted? I wonder if that Isaiah kid would've liked to have been drafted by Minny?

What a stupid and douchey move on his part. Even if you aren't excited about where you are going you should have the decency and intelligence to fake it. Read his lips after his name is called for the TWolves. He says, "**** me!" I get that they are kids. They still should have someone advising them to be a little bit more professional about the whole situation.

Exactly. It really looks bad for him. My guess is that Exum wasn't the most excited guy in the world about Utah to begin with prior to the draft. He probably wanted to go earlier of course. He still handled it with class and now hopefully the city grows on him.

He should have an advisor to teach him to not drop the F bomb in front of everyone on national tv? Advice on how to not act like an *** when drafted?

Aren't they usually just called parents?

You would think. You would also think his agent would talk to him about this scenario beforehand in order to try to avoid this exact thing from happening. He made a lot of fans in Minny tonight...... What a fool.

Good thing we got Exum, who seemed pretty happy and grateful for Utah drafting him.

It's possible that he wasn't extremely thrilled about us taking him when compared to going in the top 3. At least he had the decency to act professional about the whole thing and even act excited. Pretty intelligent on his part if that's the case. LaVine just started off really well with Minny fans...

This, exactly this.

Exum was the right pick but i still dont know how to feel about it.

Im happy i guess

Sums it up pretty well. It's as exciting as choosing broccoli over french fries because it's the right choice. We just added another question mark to a team full of question marks. Are we going to be the next Cleveland, minus the back to back #1's? Back to back #5's or something? Or a 3-peat?

Giddy. Just Giddy.

Exum seems like a really great kid. Very proud to have him on board, it's going to be fun to root for him and watch him develop.

Really looking forward to 2014-2015. I shamelessly supported the tank last season to get a franchise talent. Now that we've (hopefully) gotten one, let's see what the kids can do.
