Lakers - Indiana Trade Idea

Pacers are quietly shopping Hibbert and want to send him to Western Conference. What about Hibbert going to the Lakers for a sign-and-trade of Pau? Lakers get a dominant center continuing that legacy and a young piece to build around, while Indiana gets a championship caliber big man on a cheaper, shorter 2-3 year deal that would allow them to sign Stephenson.

I can see how this makes sense, but Pau would have to buy in -- fully -- to what's happening in Indiana. I think he probably has a better chance at a ring in OKC.

... Speaking of Pau ...
I can't believe he isn't getting more buzz this season. After watching what Diaw did to the Miami defense, a guy like Pau should be on every GM's mind. By comparison, all teh noise that Carmelo is getting is laughable.

Pau might be signing with the Spurs or so I read. Also, OP, Hibbert's hardly dominant. If he was, Indy would probably not be shopping him.

Would you do Burke (they might see that as a decent upgrade eventually at point) and Gobert for Hibbert? Burke and Kanter? I'm not saying Indy would but would you?
