What's new

Don't Ask, Don't Tell is officially history!!

You can't be seriously using that as an example of a weak-minded example.

I'd call it supporting the "pissed off" theory instead.

But I'll play your game for a second and give you some examples of people who are (were) gay. Let me know if any of them were weak-minded:

Before you hide behind the "military is different than civvie life" thing, look closely and you'll find a few soldiers on that list.

What are your feelings on David Patreus?

I'll give the guy my vote of confidence. He came into a bad spot and turned Iraq around with compassion. It's hard to not like the direction he put the ship in and the way he chose to turn that wheel. Regardless of stance on the Iraq war, I think this guy is one hell of an American.

also on a side note i have noticed that gay characters are ruining scifi.
stargate sg1 had a gay female, and caprica had some gay chracters in there.

they both got cancelled cus it was al a distraction

But you disagree with him on the DADT policy?

I don't have a position on DADT. Are you saying if someone trusts in Patreus' leadership then they should automatically agree with every policy decision he makes? I don't agree with previous posters that the US military should always decide for itself what policies are best. Automatically agreeing with Patreus is out of the question.

Babe, you are missing the point I was trying to make. When I say heterosexuals are constantly flaunting their sexuality, here is what I mean. They show pictures of their spouses, and talk about their spouses. By doing so, they say "hey look at me, I'm straight." DADT told gay people they weren't allowed that same right. They had to keep everything hidden. I'm not talking about people going in and shouting it to everyone that they are gay. I'm talking about them being able to talk about it in the course of normal conversations with their peers.

So you are saying homosexuals can chose to be heterosexual.
I didn't say that at all. You are confusing sexual orientation with sexual behavior. Many gay people have engaged in sexual behavior with someone of the opposite sex over the years.
