Whoa! You like Wade. I thought everyone had enough of his whining to officials and never running back on D. More importantly the fact that he isn't that good anymore.

Young wade was one of the greatest finishers I have ever seen and although some of his later antics are deplorable, they can't change what I saw early in his career. He was absolutely incredible.

Every player seems to whine. I just like Wades game in general. But when players wine to refs consistently I can't stand it. Every once in awhile I get it.

I just hope he gets in better shape and is healthy. Don't like seeing players careers end too early but his seems to be in that direction.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but Lebron only signed a two year deal. It would make my millennium if he bolted the Cavs in two years.

That would be epic, but he did it so he can cash in on a new 5 year max once the salary cap keeps going up and the TV contracts get added. No conspiracy theory here. He's really concerned about his legacy. Leave again, and he'll be the most hated player in the NBA. I'm surprised that there hasn't been more negative backlash for how he forced Miami's hand and basically left Bosh and Wade holding a bag of flaming poop by heading back to Cleveland. Bosh made out alright with a new max deal, but Wade is going to lose money because he opted out to make things work.

The wizards picked up Paul Pierce, which is a super good signing. I think they'll be a top 4 team in the east next season.

All teams are doing interesting deals in the free agency except the Jazz!

Anthony Morrow should have been in our radar.

Why? Morrow is just a nice piece to have as a backup. WE have young backups already, We need to decide IF we have starters who can play and IF we have decent rotation players. We're stocked with question marks right now.

1. Burks, Exum and Burke. Can Burks be a legit starting SG? Can Burke EVER be a reliable shooter? Is Exum going to develop into a starting PG, SG or be a great combo guard off the bench. Does Exum develop a shot? In any case, I think you have to give these three 30 mins each. So just scrub minutes for someone like Clark or JLIII. Or, if Hood merits more mins at SF, then Hayward can still play some of his minutes at SG.

2. Hayward, Hood. Despite his cold shooting tonight, I like what we've seen from Hood. Have no doubts he should get the backup minutes behind Hayward

3. Big man rotation: Kanter and Favors get 30+. Gobert should get 20. Novak 10-15. Work in Evans as needed.

Simply isn't time for anyone else barring injuries. Save the $8.5M in cap space for a deadline deal. By then, we'll have a good idea if one of the starters needs to be upgraded or if the Jazz just need to get a good 6th man and add a likely top-10 pick in the draft next year.

Noticed that. Jazz went after Bazemore and I'd be surprised if they didn't offer at least that much. Probably a case of wanting to play for a playoff team.

For a young guy that's been slogging it out on the fringes of the NBA, taking less money to play for a playoff team makes no sense at all. Whoever paid Bazemore most was getting him, cut and dry (if the salary was equal, then other factors were tiebreakers).

The jazz should have made a better offer.

Well, I guess that just one more reason to watch Hawks games.
Meh. He's a small fish. These types of players are available every year.
Far more important to see if the Jazz have 5, 6 or 7 core players (or fewer!), before filling in minor holes.
I am surprised he didn't get more. Most likely he just wanted to play in Atlanta. He's from North Carolina, went to college in Virginia, so pretty close to home for him. He had other teams interested including SA and LA Lakers.

Bazemore was a product of Dan-Tony offensive system. Doubt he will ever have as good of a year as he did this past (half) year with the Lakers.

Playing time might have factored in, but I assume everyone else was offering minimum contracts.

If Hayward is to play well we need more offense - mainly someone else who can score from inside during half-court play to help make up for Burke. Burks?

Good post overall and i agree with it (we dont need any more players on this team until we figure out what we have.... like you said, maybe at the trade deadline make some moves...... trade burke)

To answer your questions....
I am VERY confident burks can be a quality starting 2 guard.

I dont know if trey will ever be a good shooter (he certainly isnt right now) but i am pretty sure he is better off being a backup. (I thought this when we drafted him)

I think exum will develop into one of the premier (top 5) POINT GUARDS in the league

I dont think exum will ever be a really good shooter (lillard, curry, irving) but i dont think he needs to be.
i think he will be a good enough scorer without being a good shooter (like cp3 and tony parker) and i think he will get to the line alot

I think tony parker is a good comparison..... but i think he will be a better passer.

Honestly believe we have our superstar/TRUE max player

It gets better... LBJ's second year is a player option. He can opt out of his deal after this season. Cle has been so tortured over the years, an LBJ bolt after one year would be devastating to Cle.

There's a strong rumor out there that the Wiz are going to strongly pursue Durant in two years once he's a FA and Pierce's contract is up. DC is Durant's hometown so I guess some people think it has traction. I don't see it. I think OKC wins the tile next year and the year after, thus making it nearly impossible for Durant to leave OKC and the great situation he has there.
