What's new

Official: July 11th - July 21st, 2014 Las Vegas Summer League

Haha they came back!!! I turned it off to watch the Timberwolves vs Washington.

What happened to TJ Warren i see hes only played 7 minutes.

Also why do the Jazz have this bum Ian Clark instead of Curry?

Warren's eye got messed up and was bleeding all over. Curry is a beast tbh I don't even know why he isn't on a team.

Jabari with a double-double, but a horrible game. 4-15 from the field and 6 turnovers.

Is it just me or do these SL refs really suck? If you pump fake and take a dribble its an automatic travel to them, they call it every time. Plus they call little fouls. It's hard to ever get a good game or pace going without a lot of whistles.

LOL..

Shabazz Muhammad is awesome. 46 minutes 30 shot attempts and 0 assists so far in summer league. Had 6 assists in 290 mins last year

Locke is right. That's pretty 'awesome'.

@Orangello where you at!?!

Schroder just leaves defenders standing behind him, ya gotta love that quickness.

Check out what happens at 3:58, that was obviously goaltending, that should have been the game-winner (sudden death OT) and his 32nd points

So let me get this straight, Schroder and Giannis are looking great at SL. Who did the Jazz draft again? How does he look so far?

Here is our radio voice of the Utah Jazz and his thoughts about 2n and 3rd years NBA players...

Looking over box scores of Summer league - do believe 2nd and 3rd year players should be superior players at this point

.@DJJazzyJody 2nd and 3rd year players playing summer league should be visably the best players on floor both in box score and to the eye

Well Schröder will have to prove his improved handles and finishing around the rim in the big league and Eurobasket qualification will be a better indicator than summer league IMO.

I still don't like his long range shot. Still a set shot with little to no lift.

Would love to see him sweep&sway.

I think with his current technique, you ask the guard to go below and try to counterplay him splitting the pick and going the opposite direction, while the big tries to ice which will also put him in a position to bother his set shot.

He's certainly streaky but he's looking better and better with all of that.

To be fair Giannis and DS aren't necessarily "looking great in summer league". Giannis had one decent game and one bad game. DS had one piss poor game and one very good game.

Looks like their were some steals to be had at 21 too.. Mason Plumlee and Tim Hardaway Jr. were 1st team rooks, Gorgui Dieng was on the 2nd team, Archie Goodwin and Glen Rice Jr have been showing some promise.. I can honestly say I was a fan of all of these players (Except Dieng)

In all fairness we probably would have drafted Gobert at 21.

I was all for Rudy, There was a few of us who liked Gobert @14, I was one of them but by the end of the process I preferred Lucas Noguiera.

I'd like to think they would have drafted Mason Plumlee if they thought he could fall to 21. Many Jazzfanzers we're cool with Plumlee at 14 also.
