Defying Physics?

Meh.

Not that big of a deal.

This did not need its own thread. You could have TULTed it AND supplied the youtube video...

This at least has to do with basketball in some regard. Don't feel bad I didn't use your little thread. Maybe next time.

Jazzfanz would like you to quit bitching about people's thread that don't meet your expectation. Stop pimping your TULT thread, basement dweller. No one cares.

That wasnt very nice Archie. Furthermore, that did not seem very Christmasy. For someone who touts their religious nature as something of a positive, you're quite angry and disrespectful a lot of the time. Regardless of your hatred and disdain towards me, I wish you and your new wife a happy holiday. Be safe.

P.S. Merry Christmas to you too... errr. I mean happy holidays!

Pretty wacky. From the end of the article, this is exactly right: "It's like it rolled up to the top of a hill and just sat there. Eventually there was just enough of a disturbance, somebody stomped on the floor or a fan did something to shake it off the top."

Stupid player waving his hands to generate wind to make it roll off didn't know aerodynamics. He decreased the pressure on the "made" side of the ball and made it roll in.

While that's theoretically possible, in practice I think the amount of velocity the player would produce at the site of the ball would be pretty negligible.

It's a question of forward and angular momentum (assuming the ball had any backspin on it whatsoever) vs. good ol' fashioned balance. Probably not a lot going on here - the ball likely landed on the rim perfectly aligned with one of the seams. Rare looking shot, but not improbably surely.

So I am ****ing hammered right now...I ordered a pizza.

Don't try to replicate the phenomena of balancing round things on a round rim and changing air currents to tip it in. The pizza will do more for your stomach than for the wastebasket.

enjoy.
