What's new

July 15 Summer league Jazz v Nuggs

How does Hood look tonight? Is he gonna replace Hayward anytime soon?

I hope that Thriller and Hotttnickkk feel really dumb right now.

And the Hayward trolls come out.

It's so sad that some of you value Andrei Hayward ahead of our franchise.

Listen, will Hood make every single shot he takes? Nope. Sometimes, he may even have poor shooting games.

Hornacek, Reggie Miller, Korver, and Dirk have had shooting nights. But just the threat of their ability to shoot opens things up for teammates.

I like Hood because, he's a proven shooter. He will open things up for his team. Andrei Hayward doesn't. Defenses sag off of him and cheat on to help other players.

I'm a jazz fan first. So if Hayward becomes a great outside shooter, then great. But we're 4 years into this thing and he hasn't proven to consistently shoot well from the outside.

Cold hard facts, I know. Continue your trolling. We should all love Hayward cuz he's just awesome and totally deserves the max and is such a great shooter...

Are you this insufferable in real life?

This pretty much verifies that you didn't watch any Jazz games last year. Teams certainly didn't consistently sag off of Hayward, that's why he shot so poorly! When they do sag off when there is an interior scoring presence (Jefferson, Millsap) he has shown he can consistently be a very good shooter. You can't just look at last year (and worst year) of shooting. 2/4 years with the Jazz he has shot over 40% from 3.

Since you referenced Hornacek, it's interesting that during his first 4 years in the league he shot 27%, 29%, 33%, and 40% from 3-point range. Overall, he shot 34% on 3's during his first 4 years. Gordon is at 36.5%. Do you think we can give Hayward just an ounce of support that he can turn his shooting numbers around (with a new coach and system)?

Hornacek was paid the max too, right?

It's quite amazing how somebody who hasn't played an NBA regular season game yet is a proven shooter, yet the guy who has shot 36% from 3 for his career shoots nothing but bricks.

"Facts".

I watched only a little and was pleasantly surprised with the intensity on the defensive end.

Definitely with the max, right?

Let's continue with this. Hood sucks ***. His long history and reputation for shooting means nothing. His stroke means nothing. And Hayward is amazing cuz well we paid him the max so he'll obviously earn it.

The Andrei hayward homers have come back from 2007. Incredible. Just when I thought they had all left this board to go to Brooklyn.

Please find where I've said that Hood sucks, or that Hayward was worth the max. Until then, shut the hell up.

Thank you.
