Game 1: Jazz vs Spurs (July 17th)

Weird post. He's playing against scrubs and he wasn't even that good. I can't find stats I don't want to go back, but i'd say he shot about 40% FGs, negative ast/to ratio, about 6 rebs. That's bad no matter who he's playing against, but considering the weak competition, the timing of your post is strange.

His last game was probably his best shooting the ball 8-13 FGs, but 0 assists, 6 TOs is an embarrassment. Also his team is currently 0-4. I love his potential, but let's be real, that is what it is at this point because his play has been underwhelming.

Those are the things that can proved. I can say he looked bad when I watched him and you can say he looked good when you watched him - where does that get us? The fact is, boxscores don't just show stats, they show production. You can come to me and say he shot lights out and took care of the ball - I can point to his 40% FGs and 5 TOs per game and show you your eyes deceived you. I've had this happen. I've missed a game, and had people tell me a guy shot the lights out when the reality was the guy shot 5-20 from the floor.

But yeah, lets ignore the boxscore. He was great. Dominant. Now prove me wrong.

In reality, I've seen GA in every SL game and he just hasn't been that good. Crazy potential with the size and athleticism, but the play on the court has been underwhelming against scrubs.

Yeah definitely, I agree that box scores tell some of the story and I really like using them. A while a go I too was like why is this kid blowing up? He averages like 6 pts. I watched him though and he really shows a lot of promise. He's a 6' 11" guy who can move like a guard. He's kind of similar to Exum who didn't feel up the stats by any mean, but you can tell by the plays he makes that he has that 'it' factor. That he might be special.
