No, why are you in favor of a slow approach with him?

First of all he seemed "unripe" at the SL....I don't see a sense to hasten things with him...too much pressure on a player at his age could be counter-productive.

A season of apprenticeship would be good for him...no need to launch him with the starters.

What do you mean by "unripe"? In what ways was he" unripe"?

I wanted to say raw!

OK, so in what ways was he raw?

If you have watched the SL games you will have noticed

No offense to you guys .. but this was rough bros.

Orangello is in trolling mode today...
Nope, just trying to understand.

I think some people are calling him raw because he's still getting a feel for the situation.

I noticed that he plays very mature. He wasn't trying to go as fast he could every time he had the ball.

I wouldn't call it raw but I could see how some would interpret it that way.

Okay, fine, I'll answer so this nonsense can stop.

This is the opinion of my scout friend that has given me all the info on Exum since way back.

Exum is/has been more of a freelance player. He has great feel for the flow of the game and he has not yet really grasped team offensive and defensive sets. He's more of an ad libber. The rawness is coming from lack of understanding the more complexities of elite level team basketball. No biggie, but that's where he's at.. or so I've been told. I don't know ****.

So the more familiar he becomes with the situation the more he'll shine?

I don't know...his ball-handling skills leaves much to be desired. He has forced too many shots because he had the pressure to score.

He has showed he can pass the ball....but I was expecting him to take more initiatives 1-on-1...he seemed timorous.

In my opinion he is raw.

Anyway I'm confident he can improve his game.

Thanks for sharing.

I don't know from where arrives this comparison....anyway it proves that there is already too much pressure on this kid.

He handled the pressure brilliantly. Never hung his head or showed poor body language, and didn't at any point look like he lost his confidence even though he didn't play well and shot being way off.
