So if the Jazz waive him next year, they pocket a second rounder and $183,518 cash for keeping him on their roster this year. (Assuming the $1 million report is correct, and that none of his third year salary is guaranteed.) Sounds like a no brainer! Nice job DL.

Nah he got the news way before Woj and was told to write a piece supporting the deal, but keep it quite until Woj announced it.

Much better than the Novak deal. The Jazz needed a physical/athletic wing as well, and if DX is to be believed, Felix has decent physical tools, a good motor, and a passable spot-up jumper. He's also free (with the $1mm coming the Jazz's way).

Might be good to have another player who can handle the 1, but the Jazz could just keep Clark and hope for the best. Maybe the Jazz are done with the roster for now:

Guard: Burke, Burks, Exum, Clark
Wing: Hayward, Hood, Felix
Forward: Evans, Novak
Big: Favors, Kanter, Booker, Gobert
