I think we are very lucky to have someone like Locke, although his conflict of interest is obvious sometimes when he talks about the Jazz (his employer) he cannot be skeptical nor critical, but he still keeps the fan base entertained and engaged. His knowledge is very valuable and he is HYPER (jazz podcast roughly every day and getting things to talk about even when there hasnt been a jazz game for like 3 months) dude is sick!

I think his "toolness" is more obvious than Boler by simply the reason that he has a daily podcast.

Are you from Kuwait?

Love and enjoy them both.

They have their weird little thing here and there (Locke with shouting, Boler with the cringe worth comments), but all in all hard to find guys who are more passionate about the Jazz than those two and they do do a good job overall.

Nope. I prefer to make fun of them.

Bolerjack actually was blessed with great pipes to do play by play. Locke has a terrible voice for play by play and tries way too hard to coin ****.

The interesting thing is if you listen to the commentary it tells you who the better announcer is. Boler was "super excited" that the rookie hit a spot up 3 from the corner (arguably this should be a gimme for any perimeter player in the NBA), but Boone rightfully pointed out that the whole play was made by Hayward taking the ball upcourt, keeping the defense on their heels, and finding the right person at the right moment to hit the shot. So Boler was all rabid and spitting into the microphone and if you listen to him you would think the "rookie" made an unbelievable shot against all odds with 5 defenders in his face, when really the play was made by Hayward setting it all up. I would take Booner for that reason any day over Boler.

I agree with what you're saying. but tbh, i don't really listen to the commentary for the analysis, maybe that's just me.
