Gordon "Muscle Man" Hayward

Meh. Miles did the same thing last year. It means nothing and I often feel only slows a player down more than anything else. Adding 2-3 pounds, yet much more strength, in one offseason while maintaining one's quickness and explosiveness is in my opinion a better way to go. But maybe his body was still filling out.

What exactly do you think contributes to a player's explosiveness? What do you think adds to a player's strength? No way it could be muscles... that's just flat earth talk.

This must be one slow *** dude.

muscles are sometimes overrated

I still don't know why this site is so obsessed with Hayward absolutely having to play SG. He's height and length-wise not much different than Battier, and if he can maintain stamina, muscle would just help him.

I'm skeptical that Miles' weight was all good weight anyway. Dude is doughy, but I know that doesn't mean it's not possible his body fat% was actually low. All I know is I feel like you can see how a player plays how much they put into being in great shape and Miles plays like he rolled out of bed. And/or high.

As long as the weight gain is truly muscle, it will do nothing but help GH including his quickness and no matter where he plays.

Looks the same to me but then again, I dont really sit and check out dudes in Jerseys.

There's a difference between 100 meter sprint speed and what it entails and basketball "speed" and quickness. I was at my fastest as far as sprinting when I was jacked, no doubt. But as a fluid basketball player who is moving laterally defensively much of the time, trying to stay in front of his man, good luck.

I hope it helps him finishing better around the rim, because he could improve a lot. And I don't think it will make him a worse shooter. It's just not possible after last season.
