Requests timing out

Do you get an error or just a timeout when this occurs? Does it submit the second time?

When it happened to me in a today, it would let me reply from page 4 of a 4-page thread, but not page 3. I get a near-blank screen with an error message about the time-out. It does not work on a second attempt.
