Oh ****!!!! We're taking salaries into account in this draft??? Wtf no one tell me?

No, no salaries...... even still it would depend on team needs on which player is more valuable (defense verse offense) and whether there are good leaders on your team to reign in cousins when he inevitably goes insane

Hekate selects dwight howard. (he pm'd me)

That would be an awesome way to do a current players draft next year---have a hard cap (it could be higher than the LT maybe) and all 10 guys have to fit under it. Guys on rookie deals would be that much more attractive.

mhindy is on the clock.

Dear god he has shown he is every bit as spry as before, and this tournament will have him ready for the upcoming season that this whole draft is based off. Why does everyone ignore the fact that this tourny is going to do Rose a ton of good?

You're completely ignoring my statement, but OK.

ANd regarding your statement. The WC will do plenty good for Exum as well. I still won't rate him as a top 10 player just because of upside ;)

Fact is: Rose has been injured for a long time and hasn't been a superstar caliber player since.

Maybe he'll develop into that again. But when I vote I will be sceptic because of the past.

I really dont like the duncan pick..... easily worst pick so far.

Maybe triple k needs to google Top nba fantasy players list or something.

Start an NBA team tomorrow with a view of winning the Championship straight away. I'd take Tim Duncan again in a heart beat. He brings much more to the table than your "fantasy stats".

- He's a 2-way player who still averages near double double every night

- Easily has the highest basketball IQ than any guy picked so far not named LeBron or Durant

- Ultimate team leader and instantly makes every single teammate on your team better

- Duncan was paired with Splitter and STILL came out of the West and won NBA Champ just 4 months ago. Splitter!!!

- Has aged extremely well and is playing like he's in his early-mid 30's.

Seriously, some of you guys need to get past this idea that for a guy to be valuable he needs to have "fantasy numbers" to back it up. A player can be worth more to the team just the "stats". Hack could see how valuable Duncan is why can't you?

I agree with your stance that stats aren't everything which is why I drafted the team I did in the all time players draft, but Duncan is coming on 40 now, and Father Time is undefeated just as most didnt see what I saw, most will look at Duncan and not view him as a top 5 pick. He wasn't even the guy who carried the Spurs to a chip over Miami. He's no longer the top player of a team.

Very good second option though.

I'm sick of checking jazzfanz every 5 minutes to see if my pick is up.

Someone pm me when I'm on the clock. I'm out. Will have my phone on me. And I know who I want.

Though of course this isnt about all about stats so maybe thats not the proper way to choose guys but damn. Duncan is a rough first round pick, much less where triple k took him

To me it's not. Absolutely not. If there is a guy who averages +2 more rebounds per game and +5 more points per game than Duncan, I still wouldn't have picked that other guy.

Why?

Because Championship experience counts for something in this league. The guy just knows how to win. That +2 extra rebounds and +5 extra point I can get from other guys - BUT I cannot just buy Experience, Basketball IQ and Leadership from just any guy on the street.

Whatever triple k.
Pretty much every one thinks that you took Duncan too early.
But whatever...... carry on

Interesting picks.

I've updated the OP, but keep doing what you guys have been doing with posting all the picks after you make your selection.

Let me put it this way - if stats are all that matters then Tracy McGrady would have won multiple Championships.

McGrady only made it past the 1st round once in his whole career.
