I feel bad for him and his family. I wonder how long this has been going for? How had of an addiction is it? Sounds real bad.
It is pretty funny though considering this was a person who ridiculed the lil brother for being classless a few years back. So I don't blame lil brother enjoying this lil stab. We'd still kick your butt this year, lil brother. Taysom would run all over your defense. Maybe some day you'll have the courage to face us again.

That's probably what started his downward spiral.
At least you have the balls to admit your mistake, unlike LeftyJace on my FB page. I want to quote Mrs. Trout, as she summed it up perfectly:
It is no secret that I bleed BYU blue... It is also no secret that I was a fan of Max Hall while he played for BYU, he was a heck of a quarterback. I am disappointed in how much pleasure so many people are getting out of his recent troubles. All because of a silly college football rivalry and things he said as a silly 20 year old. Fast forward a few years and now he is a husband, a father and son who is obviously in a bad place in his life and most likely at the mercy of a horrible addiction to a horrible drug. I don't know about you but I have friends and family who battle with addiction and I know what it does to family and friends. I've had very close friends who have lost their battle with their addiction. I don't find it amusing or ironic or "karma" or any of the other crap that people have been spewing. I find it sad and I feel for his wife and kids and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy (not even a Utah football player). I'll get off my soapbox now
While I totally agree that this is tragic. The only thing that is humorous, and it is, is the BYU tshirt in the mug shot.
But all this ho hum about crappy ute fans gloating, which is ****ty, is just as much rivalry based as the gloating. This is one more excuse for BYU fans to get on the high horse and take something like this, about someone most of them have never met or know, personally.
I totally agree that his story is tragic. I have dealt with very similar demons and I feel for the kid. I know he feels more than most BYU fans.
So please, stop using Max Hall as an excuse to get your Ute hate on.

Damn, trout, that's an impressive gal you hoodwinked many moons ago. You need to get Mrs Bum to post on JF. She'd immediately become the most articulate poster on the site.
Not a chance. She pretty much blames this site for all of our marital problems.
I'm speaking in general and by no means is that directed at your wife's post btw.
What's funny is that Max Hall was loathed amongst most Cougar fans as well, up until today. Their was plenty of hate on the BYU side, just like the Ute side.
Now the kid is a drug addict, Ute fans react, and now he's a darling. Just saying, that's kinda dumb.
And let's not forget, the kid called out the entire school and fan base on TV. He tried to insult them, granted he was young and dumb, and now those chickens are coming home to roost.
Max has made many bad decisions in life, like many of us, and now he's paying for in spades. You can't be surprised by people's initial reaction to this either. He basically told 30% of the state to **** off.
All I'm saying is the main reason people are even taking the time to react is cause he played for BYU and told his rival he hated them and called them names. Any other poor junky would hardly be noticed, and very few would go to bat for them. Again, this all rivalry rooted whether you like it or not and neither side is being respectful.
