What's new

Proud to be American - and proud President Obama is OUR leader

So when did ISIS attack us? I always thought our forces were supposed to be used to protect our country. Not to wage wars of choice.

He's very good at giving speeches, but let's wait to see the results before we celebrate. Do you really believe that Obama can rally other nations to go in and do the groundwork while the US leads the mission from the air? Just over a month ago he claimed that the Syrian moderates, who are now a key part of the plan, were incompetent for the job. What changed?

Also, his claim that he has the authority to wage this campaign without approval from Congress sure doesn't match my understanding of The Constitution.

In the end, actions will be far more important than words.

Two days ago Highland Homie offered this up:

Obama has been spineless, and a typical corporate puppet like all presidents in this country for last 50-60 years or so, but we're all much better off with him in office than McCain/Palin or Romney/whoever else he had on that pathetic ticket.

I can't wait for 2016 when we - the USA citizens - have a new, fresh and inspiring batch of candidates to learn about and vote to lead us. Oh wait, we'll get two robots who have been in politics/government for 50 years and half the country will mindlessly vote for one while the other half mindlessly votes for the other.

Luckily I will be moved out of the country by then for work and hopefully never coming back to this mediocre hell hole.

Now that sounds like one proud American.

Take a seat ISIS. Great speech by a strong leader.

It was a very good speech.

1) ISIS has done us the favor of attracting the most insane Islamist out of the Free Syrian Army

2) There are thousands of ISIS members in Syria that are from Europe and elsewhere. How many of those nations do you think are worried that those chickens may come home to roost?

3) get a map and locate Jordan, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran for starters. Pretty sure none of them want a terrorist state on their doorstep.

4) Syrian Kurds are at a possible turning point. The PYD is actively fighting ISIS. They have an example of a better future for Kurds next door in Iraq. The PKK is engaged in peace talks with Turkey. Syrian Kurds have the chance to achieve some level of legitimacy from the US and Turkey. If they screw it up they will never get another chance.

All I know is that I had the Big Brother live eviction episode recorded and I go to watch it and there's Mr. ****ing Obama, giving some sort of ****ing speech, cutting off the first 20 minutes of my show. Now I don't know who the head of household is in the rewind twist.

THANKS OBAMA!

Air attacks only??

I like it.

I've read some part of it in a news page. They wrote that Obama said that there were European and US citizen members constantly joining ISIS and that their intelligence agencies made them aware that there are possible attacks in their home countries they expect.

Is that true or is it just the justification excuse for the air attacks?

I honestly don't know.

But just because 1 angry teen out of 10,000,000 joins ISIS doesn't mean we need to declare war on this group. I just think this whole thing stinks and that we're getting ourselves back into another illegal war of choice. As if the last Iraqi war wasn't a lesson already?

I just don't think bombs from our airplanes will teach the Shia and Sunnis to get along. Crazy thought, I know...

How can we call reasonable and rational crazy? Well maybe in today's world... A normal person is abnormal in a group of abnormals.
