Apparently he slipped in the shower last night (PKM can probably provide more info if needed).

It befuddled me how many times NBA athletes each year have these little accidents just before the season is about to begin. Monta with moped? Kevin Love doing push-ups? Andrew Bynum bowling? Boozer tripping over a suit case at home?

What is it about NBA players that cause them to have these accidents? You'd think they'd be wayyy more careful since Millions of $$$ is on the line???

I've heard of penis fractures, not so familiar with hand fractures while taking a long shower ;)

I'm guessing he punched a wall, Rondo seems like a dude who can lose his cool.

At least he didn't go Ray Rice on us.

NFL, where players hit women.

NBA, where players hit walls.

That, or he was super drunk and slipped in a shower.

Haha the hitting the wall thing was something that came to my mind almost immediately as well. But they said something in the back of the hand, so I don't know how that would work when hitting a wall. I guess knuckles would take the damage in that case.

But my best bet is that Rondo has his camp better under control than Monta had back then.

That was my first thought as well. I doubt he slipped in the shower. It sounds like a bad excuse, like my dog ate my homework.

I've slipped once in the shower my entire life, when I was about 11.

Also , if you take into consideration that he is a healthy elite athlete and should have good coordination and balance. It gets hard to believe he's clumsy.

He probably was drinking and punched a wall. It's gotta be one of those most common ways a hand breaks. I'd be willing to bet it's the number one cause. If this were Family Fued it would be the number one answer with 65 people giving it as the top answer.

I slipped in the shower just before my flight to Manchester last week. But luckily I was athletic enough to catch myself on the wall and shower curtain before going down so I only have a bruised knee. Too bad Rondo is not as athletic as I am.

Your avatar has made me read that post with my inner "Lorne Malvo" voice. Worked wonders.
