What's new

1 and 0 we will go 2 and 0 tonight Game Thread!

Was awesome to see

The Jazz have the youth, speed, hustle, talent and strength to be a mean, physical team. Do they have the mentality though?

I want teams to just dread seeing Utah on their schedule. Even if they know they can win I want them to know it's gonna hurt. Hope they continue to cultivate the signs shown by the main players last night.

It's interesting that Gordon jumps off his off foot usually. That's completely counter-intuitive for most people. When you teach kids how to finish a layup, you teach them to jump off of the opposite foot to the hand you are using for the finish. Gordon is a right hand shooter and it's really weird that he actually jumps off of his right and finishes with right hand(when he doesn't dunk two handed). He's actually comfortable finishing with his left too, so I wonder if he was ambidextrous with left hand preference when he was learning the basics of basketball. Weird...

I was the same way, stitches. Always jumped off the right foot. Yes, I'm weird. No, it didn't really affect me game (i.e. left foot or right foot, I equally sucked!).

It's funny that as a youth coach I've actually tried to fix some of my fundamentals so kids don't see bad habits. I just laugh off bad shots or MLA's. saying..."ok, DON'T do that." Or, saying, "did you see my form? That was an example of not having good rotation or follow through. Now let me show you how to do it right."

I got neg'd by Colton for my "crude" erect post! What's wrong with a little boner talk when it directly relates to the potential this young, exciting team has shown thus far?

That hurts, braugh. Particularly when you get mushroom slapped by that fake100 boner of his.

Best play of the night was Gobert's block then dunk. The fact that he blocked the shot, then was the first man down the floor? Impressive. Very impressive.

He was running like a deer in the FIBA tourney. This play shouldnt surprise you, but you should expect more of the same ;-)

great to see hayward act like a man after that dunk. it was a great sign all around. the power, the explosion, and the scream. ill give props when due.

Rightly so.
Spy got it wrong this time

Hayward dunk >> Burks dunk
Hayward's was individually more impressive to me too, but I think Spy's point was that Burks was the result of great team execution. I've got to agree that if the Jazz routinely execute like that we'll get to see a lot more highlights like this one.
