What's new

2014 College Football

Yeah, the entire SEC's west OOC schedules are kind of weak this year.

Really hope State schedules a beast OOC opponent next year.

Lastly, if the committee puts emphasis on injuries like they say they will, then a non-PAC-12 champion one loss Oregon should get in vs a one loss SEC non champion because they played Michigan St OOC, and extra conference game, and their only loss was when their LT was hurt.

It will be very interesting to see the rankings. If SOS, way you win and injuries are as important as they say, you could argue Oregon should be #1 right now.

Right now the only non-loss SEC teams are Ole Miss and MSU (besides the SEC Championship game), right? We play each other the final game of the year, so it would be weird to put us both in the Playoffs directly after competing with each other. I would be against it as a MSU fan, win or lose. Though the thought of kicking Ole Miss's bitch *** twice in 1 season definitely sounds like a lot of fun.

We beat Ole Miss last year starting our 3rd string QB for most of the game before putting an injured Dak in during the 4th quarter. We still beat them in overtime despite spotting them 3.5 quarters of bad QB play. I can only imagine we will destroy them with 4 quarters of Dak Attack.

I wonder how good Dak would be right now if he started all of last year like he should have? Tyler Russel was my least favorite QB in recent MSU history. Dude was a great passer, but had lead feet and bad awareness in the pocket and didn't fit Mullen's offense at all. Dak was clearly a Mullen QB and probably would have struggled at first as a full-time starting Sophomore, but still done way better than Russel.

Not great news for Utah. Safety Tevin Carter is out for tonight's game. He seems to be the X Factor for Utah's D. He started the scoring off at UCLA with a pick 6 and the only game he missed this year Utah lost. No doubt Mannion is gonna put some pressure on the true freshman that's starting in his place.

Mannion is not mobile. His OL sucks. His WR's are small and far and few between. We don't need Carter for this game. Rest him. Get him healthy. Godfrey is a very, very good player and we will be just fine without him.

That being said, how freaking special is Carter? He has played 5 quarters, has 3 INT's and 2 TD's. Show me another player that productive. If we can get him healthy, watch out.

That play in the endzone with Drez is a catch and fumble if it's in the field of play. So why is it not a TD in the endzone? He caught it, turned and took 2 steps before the ball was punched out. That is a catch. Just another example of how terrible pac12 officials are.

Dres with two drops in the end zone, another pass hit him in the chest, bounce up and INT.

Dres Anderson is quite often Utah's opponent's best player. It is unreal how good he can be, yet how amazingly bad he is. The Boogie Cousins of football, without the whining.

So it was a catch and fumble out of bounds which means ball to oregon state on the 20 right?

Utes offense is really bad and predictable.

The defense is ok..... until you throw orchard in there. Actually the defense is quite good. orchard, paul, blechen, #49.

Utes special teams is probably the best in the country

They had 2 weeks to figure this out. I didn't see anything new. Booker is not going to be able to be the whole offense all season. If you're going to run every time at least put poole back there with booker.

A win is a win.

As it has almost always been, when the Utes get their passing game together...

Until that time, these wins are macho.
