Anyone knows the answer to that question?

(Translate: Anyone has access to ESPN Insider and David Thorpe's Rookie Ranking article this week?)

It's a trite reference to Wally Pipp and Lou Gehrig. The message "every day is a chance to improve your career. No matter what has happened in the past, an opportunity to play is an opportunity to restart."

The article overall is bullish on Hayward. The money paragraphs:

It's only three games, sure, but when they are so different from what we had seen from him, it bears looking deeper into what transpired. Hayward played with tremendous hustle at Butler, but early on in his NBA career, all I saw was a casualness that suggested he thought he was a can't-miss prospect. Now, after a disastrous first seven-plus weeks, it appears Hayward began to understand that anything less than an all-out effort was going to doom him to comparisons to Adam Morrison.

So Hayward began attacking the rim, going after loose balls, making hustle plays everywhere and even earning some terrific dunks. He made some shots, too, which always helps, but my guess is he did so because he was feeling better about his overall game. It's a pretty common occurrence: players finding their shooting stroke only after improving other parts of their game.

He also moved him up to 16th on his rookie rankings.

I'm looking for consistency over the next 20 games. Then I think we will have seen some real development.

I like how the writer assumes that it was an attitude issue and not a confidence issue. I do not know what was the basis for this assumption because I think it has been pretty obvious that Hayward was lacking confidence and thinking too much. If Hayward had an attitude I am sure Sloan would have mentioned it.

I think Hayward can be a very good player when he gets the time and experience. From all that I've read his attitude and work ethic have been fine.

I think I would agree that Hayward probably wasn't originally hustling as much and playing as hard as he should have
