hayward playing well, but he has to make open 3s. missed two 3s in the half where he had no one within 10ft of him.

Hayward is the main reason why the Jazz were in the game. No one else was making shots besides Hayward and Kanter. Burke did nothing, Hood was terrible, Booker didn't play well, Burk didn't play well either. Jazz are lucky they aren't down 20 pts. I can't believe how many just dumb turnovers they had.

Exactly. Jazz aren't playing man to man defense. They rotate, and if someone misses the read or doesn't get back, there's a hole. Not always Kanter.

He had 2 good plays at the end of shot clocks for an assist to Kanter and a floater in the lane, but other than that I hardly even noticed him doing anything.

Burke needs to get a few easy shots to get some confidence. Kanter just needs to stay in front of his guy and commit to the roll when he plays defense. I can't understand how he never seems to figure it out.

The big are playing the PNR terrible. They have to have to hedge harder. They are just stepping up far enough to be out of position to defend the roll man and not far enough to hold the ball handler.

Agreed - I'd rather have him move the ball around rather than trying to do EVERYTHANG himself, and ended up putting up a contested 3.

Just because its not always his fault doesnt mean Kanter hasn't been playing dreadful defense all season...
