Let's not overrate Irving. The dude is just a scorer, a scorer on bad teams. He isn't that good. Mediocre passer and defender. Inconsistent shooter.

Hayward gets wins and buckets. He is also God.

Kinda funny how Hayward wasn't worth the MAX merely 3 months ago and now we wouldn't trade him for Kyrie.

Hayward still isn't worth the max (yet), IMO. But I've never thought Irving was worth the contract he got. Kyrie's always been a shooter. And as has been discussed numerous times, having one of your max players be your PG usually does not equate to a championship.

Let's not overrate Hayward. He hasn't been getting tons of wins nor more buckets.

Yeah, I'm going with the guy who's gonna D up on LeBron in crunch time and win that battle, after blocking him earlier. Then after the refs try to take the game away, says "Nope" and takes it back. Is Kyrie EVER gonna do that? AND we give them Burke? That is why you don't pay point guards the max, because they are harder to move.

I'm not exactly sure why this discussion has to be about Kyrie vs. Hayward since Hayward won't be moved for anyone except maybe Lebron if he keeps playing like this.

Ah, hell yeah, bra! Hayward is obviously better than Lebron as well, as proofed by that one last game we watched. I wouldn't even trade Gordo for Lebron, even if they threw in Irving. Hayward just beat them both, so that would just be stoopid. Hayward is da best.

Didn't you watch that one game, though. Hayward manned up On D against Lebron and blocked him and stuff. And we won. That's proof enough for me that Gordo is better than Lebron, and that WE WOULD NEVER TRADE HAYWARD FOR NOBODY cuz he's the bestest player evar.

i don't believe that alpha stuff. spurs won it all with aging stars who sacrificed their salary for a ring.we are utah jazz. we are not lakers. we need a team. guys like kyrie could potentially break the locker room.

Time to give up the dream that Utah is going to be the next Pistons FLUKE. You need star players to succeed in this league. The end.

LMAO! Irving was an all-star starter for the East last year, but yeah, I'm sure everybody here would have scoffed at that trade because Gordo "has been awesome since preseason." Only on Jazzfanz.

So that's what you're going with? An all star starter who was voted in by fans who loved his Uncle Drew commercials?
Here is my argument: 21, 24, and 33 wins the last three years. With declining TS% and PER numbers every year he's been in the league. On the real plus minus scale, he ranked as the 43rd best PG in the league (below rookie Burke). He makes fancy layups, I'll give him that.

empty stats. AI averaged 7+ assists many times that doesn't mean he is a willing passer.

....exactly! These hopper type guards will dribble around trying to create their own shot....and when all else fails, they drive to the basket, jump up in the air with a man hanging all over them, and without a shot for themselves....they dump it off to a teammate who happens to make the shot with 2 seconds left on the 24 second clock....and that's counted as an assist!

Being an all star in the East means nothing to me. It's like getting an Olympic Medal in badminton. Sure its an Olympic medal, but. . . Now imagine that you are the supposed leader of a crappy team in the crappy East and you STILL cannot sniff the playoffs. That is Kyrie Irving. You then add Lebron and Love, and your team STILL sucks. Want no part of that. Gimmie the guy who takes the money THEN ups his game on both ends.

Whereas Gordon consistently leads teams to the playoffs.

Oh wait.
