I will like him a lot better when he isn't a rotation player.

He is the Australian Luke Walton.

Good passer....... that is about it.

Stop embarassing yourself.

Not saying he isn't a good player. I love his IQ, but he just isn't a NBA player from a physical standpoint.

Can anyone here argue that he isn't a clone of Luke Walton?

I don't really mean that as an insult, Luke Walton had a 10 year NBA career (even had a pretty good year when the Lakers sucked).

As long as he helps the team win, all other complaints are irrelevant.

I am pretty sure I could beat Ingles in a 100 yard dash... With that said he is an NBA player and I think he's in the perfect role right now with us. I hope we keep him around... he's an ideal 8th or 9th man, seems to have a good attitude, and serve as Dante's big brother to help him adjust.

It's readily obvious that Ingles will never light up the stat board. But I like what he does when he's in the game and with the exception of Hayward I'm probably most hopeful that something good is going to happen when he has the ball in his hands.

Never said he wasn't a NBA player, but I think he is more like a 11th-12th man.

Career 33% from deep on 1 per game, so yeah, he was never known as a 3pt shooter, but he could hit them. It's not like Ingles is a sharpshooter though.

They have nearly an identical approach to the game though. Masters of the swing/extra pass.

He shot 32% from 3 in 2011-2012(about 2 attempts per game), 39% in 2012-2013(about 2.5 attempts per game) and 37% in 2013-2014(2.3 attempts per game). That would make for .364 from 3, which is the exact number for Hayward as well... If they can hit the 3 with that success in the long run, I'd be happy...

FIBA line is a couple of feet closer than NBA 3 line, no?

It might not sound like a lot, but that is a pretty big difference.

It's at about the distance of the corner 3. And it's not as big of a difference as you might think(that's the reason why long 2s, 1-2 feet inside the line are considered bad shots). One of the analytics sites(can't find it now) had a study showing that the difference of the success of corner 3s is due to the fact that they are more open shots, and not because they are shorter shots. If I'm not mistaken they had about the same success rate when with same level of contesting...

We will see if Joe can get his 3pt% up. He only really needs to have a few hot shooting games in a row.

I find his release to be kind of funky and slow though.

Same, it doesn't inspire confidence to be fair... but if he's hitting them... oh well... I've seen worse... *cough*Shawn Marion*cough*

Hearing David Locke talk, supposedly he's as good as CJ Miles was in practice.

EDIT: I realized that might sound like a knock on Ingles. What I meant was that he is an amazing 3 point shooter during practice and shooting drills.
