I was on that site five times. WTF. The internet sucks. That said, if this law passes about internet ID's, how will that affect people's viewing of adult entertainment? Seriously, could that be tracked and people be fired from jobs because of it?

You are in law enforcement, wouldn't it be great to have a DNA database with the DNA and fingerprints of ALL people in USA and have cameras covering every square foot of inhabited land. Every crime would then be solved by a database search of time, place to retrieve the video surveillance and recovered DNA/fingerprints from the crime scene. Won't you love that?

I think I would be more interested in a group of psychics nicknamed "Precogs" that could see crimes happen in their mind, before they occur.

After Wikipedia-ing (?) that name I realize I really need to get off my butt and read more then just the first two Dark Tower books. Now I know the Brautigan to which Lord Malshun is referring in Black House (one of my favorites).

Maybe I do have something to hide even though I might not be doing anything illegal. Maybe I'm part of an orginization that is opposed to the government and trying to enact change through non-violent means. Maybe I have a weird sexual fetish and am a public figure. Maybe I'm trying to surprise my wife for our anniversary. Who tghe hell knows. Privacy does not need to be justified, the invasion of privacy does.

Somebody, please think of the children! (and do the interwebs ID). In Soviet Russia, they've got it already. As Trout said, if you've got nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear. If we don't do it, the terrorist win.

I'm not huge into politics or whatever, but this is a clear violation of the constitution and Obama should be impeached.

Also, how would they know it was really you? I would think these IDs could be stolen.
