Will Trey Ever Shoot Over 40%

You know it's worth pointing out that David Locke in his last interview with PK & DJ said Trey Burke's numbers look like Johnny Flynn's---after Flynn had a hip injury.

8/14 tonight. and he missed 3 easy floaters.

trey really needs to work on his floaters. it's too strong. he needs to develop a softer floater.

Should probably just use him as a clutch specialist.
 
Over the last two games he is averaging 19 points on over 60% FGs and 7 assists.
 
He has talent for sure, there's no doubt about that. But his talent has to blend well with the skill set of his current teammates and it doesn't. The Jazz do not have any players that can effectively create their own shot at any given moment. Therefore to be successful they would need a point guard that is true facilitator. Someone that could focus on breaking down the D to open up shots for his teammates. Trey Burke is not that guy, and it's hard to say if he could ever be that guy for us. I think he would flourish (as a 6th option) on a team that had a true leader both on the court and off the court. Someone that could mentor him and put him in his place when needed.
With the Jazz, he is nothing more than a guard on a team who is searching for an identity. Everyone is trying to prove something and our rookie coach may not be enforcing his stance and place as well as he should be. This may be why you see Trey forcing shots resulting in a low FG%
Ive seen young PG's on young teams go through this. If his FG% is so wreckless, my question is why has the coach allowed it to continue??
