Following potential 2015 draftees

Yeah, I'm not seeing a Harden comp for Winslow. He doesn't even have a beard.

That Chris McColough though is gonna be real. Just check out the music they put on when he plays.

Terrible. I like Winslow.. but it's more like defense instead of offense.. not both.

That's one of the worst comparisons I've ever heard. Winslow has intensity and takes pride in his defense. Harden slacks off and takes plays off all the time and lacks the concentration to play off-ball defense. Harden is one of the best offensive players in the game, great iso-player, great penetration, use of change of direction, hesitations, eurosteps, great at creating separation off the dribble. Those are all weaknesses for Winslow who has real trouble creating offense and playing in isolations. Pretty much the only thing that is similar in their games is that they play physical and take contact well. I heard the exact same comparison for Marcus Smart last year. Absolutely ridiculous. They see a physical player and they put the most obvious comparison simply on that criterion, without looking at style of play, skills, etc.

That is what scares me about tankapalooza part 2 (or is it 3 now?). Jazz missed so badly on Burke. Ty Corbin might have endorsed Trey but ultimately Lindsey pulled the trigger.

What's the alternative? Try to sign leftover vet FAs and then fool ourselves into believing mediocre players can fix our situation? We'd have a slightly more entertaining season at the expense of ever having something special like we did during the glory years. Meh.

Ok but who was picked after Trey that we can say for certain that is gonna be a star? That was a pretty bad draft overall. More importantly we did not "tank" effectively - we barely missed the playoffs.

Guys, I figured it out.

We draft Okafor. Then eventually he'll recruit Jabari to come play here, cause they're friends and he's Mormon and all that jazz.

Exum
Hayward
Jabari
Favors
Okafor

Championship City, bishes.

I'll do you one better. Trade Exum for Austin Rivers. Start Hood at SG and trade Favors for Miles Plumlee.

Rivers
Hood
Jabari
Plumlee
Okafor

All DUKE team - we then recruit Coach K to come to Utah and Quin can be his assistant again.

NBA Championship in 3... 2... 1...

Yes, maybe no one is a star per se, but many of them have a higher ceiling than Trey and have not had the off court issues. So I think a better question is who was picked after Trey that is going to be better than Trey? I understand they are still young, but Trey is just coming up short, while others are showing more potential. My main point is that I have serious doubts about the Jazz's ability to evaluate draftees.

Oh well if you go and look at Trey's final year at MICH you'll see that he had improved quite significantly from his 1st year. If he had continued that growth it's not unexpected that eventually he would turn out to be a pretty good player.

- He was shooting lights out from 3 (38% no less).

- He had the best assist/TO ratio in college

- He was the best off the dribble shooter in college.

- His assists numbers improved, etc, etc, etc.

It's a pity his shooting went away and he never took that next step athletically.....

You can't take the next step athletically. There is a limit.
