trade partners made in heaven: Utah and Detroit

Jennings with an 0/11 night from the field, but was still +6 on the court. He is just trying to lower his trade value so we can get him for Burke and no pick.

2 or 3 years ago I would give up picks for Jennings. Now? no ****ing way.

They shoot similar percentages, but Jennings scores more in less minutes. I think by the time Burke is in his 5th year in the league, he will be better than Jennings.

What the Jazz need to do is go after a young potential star that wants big money. That might not get it from there current team. My goal would be K. Leonard. Duncan's probably gone this next year. They need a few pieces. I'd trade Kanter,Hood, g.s. 1st, and a few 2nds for Leonard and salary fillers.

Burke,
Hayward
Leonard
Favors
Gobert

Bench

Exum
Burks
Booker

People seem to think Trey want get any better. Look what Hayward is doing in year 5 after year 4.

The only guy I'd even look at is Monroe, considering that he's gone next year and they might want to get something for a team to rent him for the 2nd half of the season (ala Luol Deng and Cleveland.) Because there's no guarantee that he'd stay, I'd be reluctant to pay too much to get him. The reason to do it, is so that you can sell your team to him prior to free agency. The likely outcome is that he bolts to a big market team or a contender. Have a hard time seeing him sign/re-sign with a rebuilding Jazz right now.

Hayward had an off year, that's true.
Please tell me what his shooting percentages were in his rookie and sophomore seasons.

But the concern goes BEYOND just shooting, Trey is no Rajon Rondo on the defensive end. You can usually sacrifice some on one end if a player is outstanding on the other. But that's simply not the case with Burke. His 38% shooting might be his BEST quality.
