Stay Calm and Carry On

I really like the team and I find the rebuilding process to be intresting and entertaining. What I see happening out there is a semi-tank. We have a really solid 6-7 players that are all still growing and learning how to play in this league.

Havent you noticed that we have the worst bench in the league? I believe that is on purpose. The FO want our core 5-7 to eat up all the minutes in hope that they will show major growth. They have as well. All the while we lose games and in the end of the season we pick up another real solid blue chip and trade away one or two of our core to net a savy vet and bolster our bench. The differnce between winning and loosing in this league is five baskets both ways. Not a huge stretch. Look at the Wizards. They have been on the bottom for the last decade and now BOOM. Rebuild successful.

Even Kanter who has been the whipping boy on this board since he entered the league has shown major improvement since last season. His defense and scoring concistancy have greatly improved. Burke also has made great strides. He's consistantly getting the ball to open players and is trying to be aggresive on offense. He propably wont ever be a top 15 point gaurd but hell he'd be one of the best back up point gaurds in the league hands down. And we drafted what we hope and believe will be a stud PG in Dante.

All Im saying is that our fan base needs to calm down and remain patient. We are not going to be knocking on the door too the playoff's for a couple years, but thats ok. We are systematicaly building a very strong club and that takes time. Develop your players, showcase them so once you find the 5 that truely will be your core you trade the rest to shape out a team that really gells and makes sense.

Im drooling at the Idea of getting an Okafor type player at the end of the year. Then in a year or two we have a beast of a team. Imagine this:

PG: Exum, Burke
SG: Hood, Vet traded for Burks
SF: Hayward (Now a legit and learned Vet), Future Rookie development
PF: This years top five pick, Vet traded for Kanter
C: Favors (Now a legit and Learned Vet), Gobert

We have really great potential with growth, trades and picks. We just have to sit back and enjoy the ride. Sure lossing isnt as much fun as winning but your still getting to watch your basketball team. Other than bragging rights what benefit does the Jazz dominating really have on you?

STAY PATIENT!!! The road is long and hard but will be worth it in the end.

If we dont plan on sniffing the playoff door for 2 more years we should trade Hayward and Favors. If our plan is really still 2 years away from playoffs and 3+ years from hoping to compete they are too old for that plan imo. I think we better hope that we get one more good player in the draft next year, make a trade for a solid player and pick up a few solid free agents to try and make the playoffs next year.

Nobody can guarantee that the right opportunity will come along in the offseason, but Utah is in a good spot to collect one more high pick and then make a trade to take the next step. There's really no hurry to trade anybody right now.

I agree with this post so much. Thank you.

I probably agree with this post but I hate the Chive stickers/tshirts so much.

Patience is hard but I think they Jazz pump the gas a little next year.

Oh, how the plans change.

And I am unwilling to let Burks go before he gets his fair share of Quin.

If "knocking on the door" means the Jazz are within 2 or 3 games for a playoff spot in the last few weeks of the season, I think you're absolutely wrong. We will be in the hunt next year. I personally think the Jazz aren't going to "knock on the playoff door" next year...they're going to drive a ****ing Mack truck through it. /end Kool-Aid rant.
