Not at all. I remember hearing stories that CJ hit everything in practice. That's why the Jazz stuck with him for so long; they figured he'd eventually translate his success in practice to games. But it just never happened on a consistent basis.

It only shows "The Church of Joseph...." part in the main page. I was like, "finally, a Joseph Smith thread.", then I saw it was about Ingles, and then I saw that Dala posted it, I went to the OP to like it , only to see I have already done that.

I was a big time believer in cj miles for way too long........ he had the perfect size, he was athletic, his shot looked great, he seemed to have alot of confidence (maybe that was the problem lol), had decent handles................ but he totally sucked balls.

I have a feeling the game is going to slow down for both Joe and Dante and when that happens watch out. I'm not saying Joe can be a Lebron Kobe type player but I can see him being a 10 ppg guy off the bench with some assists and steals. I think Dante can be a star and is justified in the 5th overall pick.
 
Joe is on track to be more than an 11th or 12th player on a roster. No doubt about that.

Well that is true I guess since he is already like the 7th or 8th right now.

I guess I was wrong about him.
 
The thing about Ingles is that he knows how to play the game. He has good court vision and hits the open man, seldom turns it over (usually when he does, he trying to make a pass that few other guys would be able to make), he plays good position defense, has good fundamentals, and he can hit the three. No, he's not that athletic for an NBA player, but his game is solid and he's the perfect role player. If we didn't get him, I wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs would have, because he's a prototype Spurs guy.

Well, it's not like Ingles is the typical rookie. He's already 27 with a ton of international experience, which unfortunately means he has EXTREMELY limited upside. But he is fundamentally sound. It's hard to find players who are content to play behind stars. Jazz were always replacing the backups behind Stockton. Ingles seems like he'll be ok with 10-15 mins behind Hayward. Certainly helps having Exum on the team. And perhaps Motum makes the team next season.

I think he is a perfect bench player for the Jazz. Considering the Jazz's Spurs-like plans and the affinity of Quin to the Euro ball along with his Euro experience, having an Ingles type player on the roster makes so much sense. And indeed, he is a player that can be content with limited roles. He was a role player(with just a little bit more responsibility) in Barca and Maccabi too and he was very good at it there. His game has its cons and pros but he always brings more things to the table than his deficiencies. Plus, the Jazz have tons of young players and Ingles is the type of a player that can actually help them on the court with his BB smarts, he's not like the other so called veterans who do nothing but mind their own business on the court.

And the Ingles we have seen so far is not his limits either. He clearly, and as I would expect, has a lighter role currently than he had in Europe and he most probably will be dealing with adapting to the NBA this season. I believe he can be a very solid bench player for years for the Jazz.
 
I like the guy despite his flaws. He is better than I thought he would be and I think he is starting to adjust to the NBA game. Considering the Jazz picked him up on waivers, I say he is a steal.
 
I always thought he would need to get to speed with the NBA game and how his fits in with it. Honestly, he has been an absolute bargain. A big reason for our improvement this year.
 
tbh Jingles has been one of my favourite players to watch this season.
 
He has been playing well last three or four games. His stats this year make you think he is not an NBA level player though. Still those who know him from the Euroleague and the World Cup are aware of what he's capable of doing. I mean we still may need to wait a bit more to see him completely adjust to the NBA game and bring his A game consistently. It may never happen but if it does, the Jazz know they have their Spursesque high-IQ player.
