What's new

College Basketball '14-15......

Thanks for the info. I like the guy even more even though I don't just assume all Kentucky athletes are stupid.

Leave it to the lazy posters to not do their homework.

It's just hate.. which fuels me.

Also, Brandon Knight, Patrick Patterson, Karl Towns, were/are 3.8 or better and had 'real' majors. Our scores are actually VERY high (though, in fairness, we spend a TON of money on personal tutors, etc)

I honestly don't see a problem in paying for tutors. If the players can put the time in with tutors or without to learn the material and put themselves in a better spot and walk out with a degree, or a good jump on one then they have something to fall back on if things don't work out in the sports world, and if they do they have some education to fall back on after they are done. It's a win win imo. If the schools have the money and can do this, it's only a good thing.

Totally agree. I was actually 'apologizing' for it because most schools don't have the money for personal tutors.

Btw, Cousins, Wall, Bledsoe, Knight, Rondo, TJones, and many others are spending some of their offseason back at UK working on their degrees. They all intend to finish.

Awesome. Wish more would do exactly that, but tbh I don't really know how many do that at my fav schools let alone any others.

It's something Calipari preaches beginning in the recruiting process. He demands that they commit they will get their degree regardless when they leave school. Only two in the last 6 years have broken the promise and outright said they aren't going to do it.

Making it awfully hard for me to hate Calipari and UK.

Love Patterson. Such a genuine, down to Earth and smart dude.

Wow...

Yeah.. Kentucky fans (most) hate this stuff. Most of us are well aware we get beat by 20+.. every game.

I'm guessing;

KU - 74
UT - 71

Pretty similar to what I'm thinking. Utah's offense hasn't really shown up against the better teams on their schedule thus far. It's concerning, but being this early, and hopefully gaining a healthier Loveridge in January, I'm hoping that is something that will take care of itself.

If they can hang within a possession of Kansas in what equates to a road game, Utah fans should be happy.
