What's new

Darft Jimmer Fredette.

Is it set in stone that Jimmer is a first rounder?

Draft Express has him pegged as a mid-second rounder: https://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2011/

Additionally, from what I'm reading about Jimmer's skill set (I watch very little college basketball for the record) it sounds like he's the kind of guy that tends to fall on draft boards in the days prior simply because he's got a perceived lack of athletic upside and he's already a senior in college. Both make him look more like a finished product than a growth stock.

It's probably quite possible he could end up as a second rounder.

He is and was quick/fast. Back to Jimmer. His problem is he's a one trick pony. He can shoot. His ceiling is JJ Redick. But even so Redick was a far superior college player.

Jimmer has a much better driving game than Redick had in college. Back to Nash, I'm not saying he's a "slow-mo", I'm just making a point that he's not or hasn't been the fastest player on the court when he plays. I understand my choice of words "slow" is drastic, but I'm just adding to my point that he's not know for being the fastest guy in the league.

I totally agree. It will be interesting to see how high he rises or how low he'll actually get drafted. With that being said, I'm really interested to see if his game will translate.

Maybe were talking about two different steve nash's? I bet Iverson was faster.....

If Jimmer was 6'4 or more could be fine. He could have a Redick or Korver type career. But he will not get good look at the hoop at 6'2 and doesn't make up for that with speed.

No way. Jimmer is a great college player, no doubt, but I have a hard time seeing him translate his skills to the NBA and be successful. Look at Morris Almond. Great player in college, sucked it up in the NBA. I think Jimmer is A LOT like Almond in his style of play. I just don't see this one happening well for him.

Darko Milicic...
Rafael Araujo...
Adam Morrison...
Jimmer Fredette...

Again, Jimmer will play PG in the league. It doesn't require you to be 6'4 to play PG in the NBA. Stop with that bad comparisons, please.

Oh, btw the way Kemba Walker (2nd leading scorer in the nation) is 6'. Kyrie Erving, the number one projected draft pick is 6'2".

um...why is Darko on this list. he never played college ball. He was like 17 or 18 when drafted. Played for a low level European team. Just did well in a few tryouts.

Jimmer is a 2 guard, he does not have much playmaking ability. A GM would have to be insane to draft him to run the offense as a point guard.

You want a good comparison ....... Mark price. The are very similar. Did any one catch the game where frank laymen was interviewed at the buy gamebhe had some great things to say about jimmer. He finishe up saying he hopes he plays for the jazz.

Archie Moses rep power = 6

NUMBERICA rep power = 5

Yeah, you got me there, bro.

Archie +1, NUMBERICA 0

Thank you for proving my point again. You apparently don't know that reputation is more than points on a silly message board, but keep LIVIN' IT UP.
