Game thread: jazz play a game in a couple of hours, the Timberpups edition.

You know a player has arrived when the opposing GM is making excuses for not drafting him.

Flip says when the T-Wolves were debating Dieng vs Gobert, one thing that hurt a skinny Rudy was that worked out against Steven Adams.

Flip: “Rudy has gotten so much bigger in two years. But … [Adams] was like the incredible Hulk. He had Rudy back in the basket stanchion."

Also, for the Minnie paper about the 2013 draft...

The Wolves never considered taking Burke with that ninth pick because they already had Ricky Rubio, Luke Ridnour, J.J. Barea and Alexey Shved already on the roster.
The Wolves made the deal with Gonzaga center Kelly Olynyk and Muhammad on their radar for that 14th pick. They also considered Greece's Giannis Antetokounmpo but favored the aforementioned player both because he was more of an unknown and because they didn't want to gamble on more of project with then-coach Rick Adelman on the bench.
They hoped Antetokounmpo would still be available with that 21st pick, but Milwaukee took him with the next, 15th pick and the Wolves chose Dieng over French center Rudy Gobert with the 21st pick.
The Wolves then traded/sold their 26th pick in that draft with Gobert still on the board so they'd create enough cap space to sign Kevin Martin, Corey Brewer and Chase Budinger that summer.

Sounds like they are hurt about Gobert, not Burke. All hail Rudy! King of Jazz Nation!

He reacted like this because he wanted to play in Utah.

The biggest disappointment about tonight's game is missing out on watching these two guard each other.

I think Pekovic might have actually eaten him.

Good attendance for how frickin cold it is outside, and I thought it was cold in my hometown Zaragoza

Kanter still has horrible court vision and rarely finds open teammates. I just can't stand watching T. Burke play, normally.
