Sadly, this will change nothing and the SEc will start the year off with 5 top ten teams like every year, and will be given every benefit of the doubt possible.

BYU only needed 2 to lose to Utah State....... Seriously though, what does Utah have to do with the games tonight? You bringing them up is silly and continues this jealous mentality you have shown throughout this thread. You wonder why a lot of Ute fans want to see BYU left out in the cold if the BIG 12 expands? It's because of fans like you who continually talk trash even when your team had been dominated in recent years in the matchup. Time to move on already.

As for the SEC, I think this further proves they were overrated this year. Does that mean they aren't generally the best conference as far as football is concerned? Not at all. It just means that they weren't the best conference this year. Credit goes to Ohio State. I don't think anybody really thought they would win besides them.

I have already proven this to be false. Both Georgia and Texas A&M bitched out on Oregon because they knew the matchup was unfavorable. Take into account that the SEC has 8 conference games versus the PAC's 9 and you can see that the SEC is just trying to get into decent bowl games and the playoff based on reputation. This is why you see pretenders like Ole Miss, Auburn, and even your school Mississippi State getting such high rankings only to be beaten by teams clearly better than them outside of the SEC. But hey, scheduling another cupcake and dodging Oregon seems like an SEC tradition that will continue if they win the National Championship. Why can't you just tell it like it is this year? Down year for the SEC where they were not the best conference in college football. Rare as that is, it is a fact this year.

Sorry, I was busy fielding competing offers to run the sportsbooks at the Bellagio and Caesars. Take Ohio State to win the championship to the bank because Urban Meyer is either the best coach in the history of college football or he is the best coach in the history of college football at integrating PEDs seamlessly into his programs without detection.
