Now then…Favors is in the top 10 for double-doubles among post players.
- Top 10 in rebound for PF's (that's where he's listed, so it's just easier to go with that, but he would be top 10 for centers as well).
- Top 10 in scoring (he would be top 5 if he was listed as a center, which is where he plays).
- Top 5 in blocks (would still be in the top 10 as a center).
- averages more assists than turnovers as a post player. That's very good. (he's in the top 20 as a PF for APG)
- he's typically in the 5-8 range on most statistics, yet is only #10 in minutes.

So tell me again how he's average? Thanks.

I'd also like to point out my boy Jusuf Nurkic has been putting up 11/7/3 in 19 mpg for his last 5 games. Stud.

lol people still think Kevin Love is elite?

I am as big Rudy's fan as the next guy but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Hibbert took Gobert to school and he is not exactly offensive juggernaut. You can put the same knock on him as some used to put on Kanter - he mostly plays against backup players. Once he finds his spot in the starting five he will be scouted and his weaknesses will be exploited. How he responds to it is going to be the deciding factor in his greatness.

OKC and Memphis picks, right? Those will probably be low first round picks.

The Memphis pick has weird protection: 1-5 and 15-30. That means the pick won't come their way this year...unless Memphis were to do a complete fade and miss the playoffs. Mozgov has a very nice team option for next year ($5M) while Kanter is a RFA. I doubt Utah can get the same value for Enes. Really, Kanter is kind of a tweener. He's not a presence underneath on defense - you can't have him defending opposing centers - but he's not fast enough, nor does he have the consistent range of most PF's. Whichever team offers him a ton of money is going to be taking a HUGE risk on his potential.

Hibbert didn't school him. He hit some tough shots. Hibbert also has a lot more experience too.

Hibbert isn't that bad either. He's just a nut case. He's good when he wants to be.

I'd still take Gobert over Hibbert. Right now, and for the future.

If 22pts-8reb on 13 shots in 27 minutes vs 11pts-4reb in 29 minutes ain't schooling then I don't know what is. Hibbert ate Gobert's breakfast and then some. Hibbert is 20th in the league in scoring among centers, just ahead of Kelly Olynik and Tyson Chandler with whopping 11.6 pts per game.

Is Dirk still elite? That dude can't guard ****. I really think I could score on Dirk. srs.
dude's never been able to guard ****. But he's almost un-guardable when on. I'd still call him elite just because of his scoring ability.

Rudy has to start.

I love Enes but there is no denying we're playing better with him as a starter. Please have a seat on the bench Mr. Kanter...

Gobert is insanely good. 11 points 13 rebounds and five blocks. Now he just needs to get more consistent. With gobert starting, we could be a playoff team next year. Insane. This development is almost as surprising as jimmy butler has been this year in Chicago. Who thought rudy was going to be this good this quick? I picked him in that homer thread before the draft in 2013, and I never thought he would have this potential. Amazing.

One_Brow is suspiciously absent.

Oh, I was wrong about Gobert maybe being average. He's definitely above average as well. Just dismantled a very good Chicago front court.

It's ok to make that omission. At the rate he is going, he will go from being a nobody to a superstar by the end of the season. It's the single most exciting thing about the Jazz since deron Williams. Hayward is nice, but he has been steadily improving, not by leaps and bounds like gobert.

Rudy's got really long legs, so leaps and bounds are probably easier for him, tbh.

I seem to remember back in the day that it was Jerry Sloan who recommended for Lindsey to pick Gobert. Sloan pointed him out at the work out and said, "He's a hard worker. Get him."

Not sure where I heard that anecdote, but I definitely remember it.

Ya I definitely heard that too. I am pretty sure David Locke said it.
