Utah Jazz vs Washington Wizards - Monday January 17th, 2011

No excuses for this game - Washington has beaten one team all year with a winning record (Portland).

.....and skills, talent, brains, smarts, athletic ability....oh, did I mention brains???

You're overreacting, yet again... :) I think you did not really intend to say those words.

J. McGee, Blatche, Wall, Hinrich are all pretty good athletes, they might lack some of the basic, and most valuable aspects of the game, not only the skills but also things like passion, spirit. Regarding BB IQ, development of players on a consisent basis, how players behave on and off the court, it's a little bit off topic but, the basic reason is the disgustingly dabbler level of college basketball nowadays, and most importantly the fact that most of the coaches are playing to win, not develop the skill level of players and help them get physically and mentally ready to be real professional basketball players, who cares about much more and different things than stats and individual success, the sponsorships, fullfilling their egos. Look at the deceitful, immoral Calipari. He still has a job in NCAA, I cannot believe, and he gets big names out of high schools and uses them, does not help them improve themselves A BIT. Tyreke Evans, Derrick Rose... watch them in high school games and in their first NBA years. Exactly the same players. Now he is trying hard to get Enes Kanter, a top3 prospect of this draft class. And there are lots of winning-first college coaches. The coaching mentality is at least as guilty as the prospects ,who eventually become the new generations of NBA basketball, on this issue.

Losing either one of the next two is absolutely unacceptable. Hell, winning by anything less than 10 would likely also be unacceptable.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Hayward has the flu. Game time decision. Sounds like racism to me though, on this MLK Jr. Day.

Apparently it is a sinus infection. Not the flu, like no one except Locke reported.

21-18 barn-burner so far. Deron keeping the Jazz in it, down 17-5 and then on 4 straight possessions Deron hits 3 threes and then makes a spetacular wrap-around pass to Millsap for a layup. Bell, Millsap and Miles couldn't throw the ball in the ocean that period, hopefully the bench can give Utah a lift to start the 2nd.

Another great start, eh? Deron can only carry this team so far. Big Al needs a couple of Red Bulls before game time. He seems non-existant in Q1.

I thought Deron was lifeless to start. He was walking the ball up the floor and the jazz were playing in slow motion. When Deron picked it up, the whole team did.

Only down 3 after a pretty awful first half. This is just according to script.
Start bad, catch up, play great in the 2nd half, win
