Memo-BigAl combo to start to the games is only applicable and reasonable against certain matchups, like Lakers frontcourt, Celtics frontcourt, Dallas frontcourt. Memo was a PF during his earlier career in Europe who had the ability to play some center mins occasionally and also played the 4 position when Boozer was out for a long time in '05-06 (Am I wrong?) but I do not see him regularly playing at PF position any longer.
I think the Jazz should focus on how to make Memo an impact player coming off the bench. Price & Watson are energy players and their contributions have altered the scenarios of many games and won us some critical games but they play reckless and out of control most of the time. The style of 2nd unit when led by Price is built on running and hustling. I think that might affect Memo's efficiency as he starts to get considerable amount of PT. the impact of Deron's presence and the connection and communication btw Deron/Memo is crucial for his success. The Jazz might make some adjustments in rotation to have Memo play with Deron. The chemistry and accommodation/harmony among Memo and the ballhandlers is also an important factor. I hope as they get accustomed to each other, they will learn how to play together.
