Nah, veji1 is spot on. Injuries with guys this size are almost inevitable. That doesn't mean it's going to end his career, but Rudy's athleticism is a huge part of his game and it's likely at some point that injuries will rob him of his dominance, even if it doesn't end his career. Once a guy this size starts having problems with their feet/ankles/knees, they can go from special to average in a hurry. Rudy is an incredibly special player, so Utah needs to try and extend his career for as long as possible.
Wilt had 70 lbs on Rudy and played 4 years of college, 1 year Harlem Globetrotters and 14 years in the NBA playing 48 minutes a game. He had an injury here or there but nothing serious.
How much does Tyson Chandler weigh? Rudy could probably weigh about that much and be just fine.

If Rudy played for the jazz in the nineties, would people still think that Michael Jordan was the greatest player ever? Serious question.
Wilt was a freak of nature of a kind that only counted 2 in the entire history of the NBA : Wilt and Shaquille. not exactly the same actually, but massively tall, strong as oxes yet very quick. Lateish Wilt was more like Shaquille, while early Wilt was more like a 2 inches taller Hakeem.
I am not saying Rudy will get injured, we don't know. What I am saying is that in the history of the NBA, the taller the guys, the more injured they get on average, or rather the mored debilitating their injuries are (on average). If I am the FO i want to use Rudy to win (that's what he is here for in the end), but I also want to be able to use him for as long as possible and protect my investment. No one is talking about resting him on BtoBs when he feels perfectly fine, as if he was made of sugar. But limiting his minutes to less than 32/34 on average is the right thing to do imho.

Favors doesn't even get much over 30 mpg, so I wouldn't be too worried about Snyder overplaying Gobert.

lol wtf!!Gotta logout first.
TBE was making what we humans call a joke.
How many points would have Wilt scored that night instead of a 100?
2? Maybe?
