Following potential 2015 draftees

Does anyone think Russell is like a 6'5" Brandon Jennings? I don't mean the Shaqtin a fool chucker Jennings, since Jennings averaged about 18pts 8ast since trading Josh Smith and he was shooting over 40% from 3. I think in the NBA you would see a mix of the bad and the good Brandon Jennings with Russell.

+Extremely skilled and creative players who take tough shots off the dribble
+They can both score the ball and make great passes
+Good court vision and passing abilities
+Create their own shots
+Good hesitation moves to freeze bigs
+Both have a lot of confidence in their abilities

-Questionable decision-making (probably can be attributed to lack of talent his team)
-Defensive effort
-Finishing through contact
-Shot selection (again, maybe because of lack of talent on team)

Not really. Most of Jenning's issues come from his being a midget. If he had a bigger frame and was 5" taller, he would be a great player because he would actually be able to finish, and as a result would be less of a chucker.

Reminds me wayyyy more of Harden.

Jennings has really questionable shot selection. Russell seems smarter(basketball wise) to me. He's also much shorter than Russell. He's probably a bit faster though...

To me Russell's midrange-longrange game looks a lot like James Harden's, while his passing and close-range game is much more similar to Steph Curry's. His off the dribble shot reminds me of Curry as well...

In general he looks like a mix of Harden(without the physicality inside the paint) and Steph Curry(without the insane handle).

ill drool all over my keyboard if we get Russell.

Exum / Burke
Russell / Burks / Hood
Hayward / ????
Favors / Booker / Kanter
Gobert / Kanter

What a rotation in 3 years time.

So much more excited about this draft than at the beginning of the year. Glad we are still kind of tanking.

we are destined to draft russell

I can only hope.

I wonder who the Jazz would draft if we got the #1 pick, Okafor or Russell? Those 2 seem like the only #1 options at this point. No way anyone takes Mudiay or Towns at #1. Mudiay hasn't proven enough and Towns is a huge project.

Wowzers, you know how they talk about the next Jordan?... Kobe, Lebron, Durant, Wiggins, etc....

This dude looks like the next in line along the Ginobili, Roy, Harden lineage.

There's a ton of college basketball time left. Russell could slide back down as far as 9 imo. Is it likely to happen? Hell no. But crazier ****'s happened.

Probably. At this point I would box Okafor and Russell 1&2, in some order.

I've seen Mudiay play 0 times in my life but it's hard to imagine he's more impressive than this cat.

Good point, right now we're in the eighth or ninth spot in the draft. I'm guessing we'll win around the same amount in the second half as in the first, so we may end up in the same spot. It would be great to get either Mudiay or Russell though.
