Jackie Robinson West Loses Little League National Championship

If they cheated then good.

I wonder how much (if any) the players knew of what was going on. Clearly the blame goes on the manager and any officials/parents involved, but did the kids just think they were on a great team and that was that?

Are these teams that play in the Little League World Series not local All-Star teams? That's what I've always assumed.

The violation involves boys on the team whose permanent residence was not within the boundaries of the area served by the park - the rules of Little League require all team members to live within the geographic boundary served by the park the team represents.

Beyond that, I know nothing.

Other than it's definitely the adults who are at fault. If you think 12 year old boys pay attention to that kind of ****, I have an igloo in Cabo you might like to buy.

I agree that the team should be banned from using Jackie Robinson's name for a while.

Also only teams that are part of the "official" Little League system can participate. Plenty of communities have youth baseball programs that are not part of this system but are generically called "little league"

You see stuff like this all the time. Youth football (even in Utah county) is rife with cheating and boundary shenanigans. Coaches pull crap and are rarely held accountable. And the kids are the ones who get hurt by the antics. Especially when it's discovered and they are branded as cheaters and liars, when they did nothing more than play.

Holy ****ing **** this. It's only going to get worse. Pretty soon, the rules will change to allow this kind of crap.

I'm as competitive as it comes but in raising my daughter, I really only care about her health and education. I basically want to raise an attractive, well-mannered nerd. The sad state of sports and what they're all about is pathetic.
