Following potential 2015 draftees

I think I like Oubre more than most people on here. It would be a high risk pick though. I could see him becoming really good, or turning into Wesley Johnson or something.

I'm with you on Oubre. Him and Booker are my two realistic draft scenario guys.

I think the Jazz will stay in the 6 - 8 range of the draft. With George Karl going to Sacramento, with Paul George potentially returning to Indiana, and with these Eastern Conf. teams in range of actually making the playoffs, the challenge is going to come from Denver primarily.

to be honest I don't mind the jazz winning and i want to see kanter traded. this hopefully will bring in another asset.

Utah winning and Kanter being traded now is what you call minimization of assets. Maybe we can deal with one, but not both. If we trade Kanter for scraps and start winning to the tune of drafting out of the top 10, that is a MAJOR setback in the rebuild, make no mistake about it. That would suck *** for those of us hoping to get back into contention.

I'd take Booker first among those guys.

Hopefully we aren't in a position where we're choosing between guys like Turner and Winslow. Just get top 6 damn it.

Top 6 not looking good, I'm afraid. My dreams of Hezonja, fading.

Starting to look like Booker as the most realistic option.

Vezenkov had 18pts/9rbs (5/12 FT, 1/43P, 7/8FT) game this weekend. Also, the president of his club shared that he has a contract until 2016 and the buy out is 250K Euro for European clubs and 500K USD for NBA teams.

I'm sure Lindsey is all over this though. There is no way Kanter gets traded. My guess is he'll enter RFA, nobody will pay that much for him, and we'll end up getting him at around $7-8m which is a bargain for a 3rd big with his potential.

Hope you're right, but I doubt. Kanter should be moved, but not at a minimum. **** that.

Why would Kanter not pull a Monroe? It allows him to leave Utah sooner (which he seems to want) and he'll get more money by signing a contract when the cap goes up.

Three things:

1. If there were no decent offers during RFA, what makes him think there will be decent offers the year after?

2. Without the long term contract in place, the Jazz may be less inclined to play him significant minutes next year seeing as he would no longer be part of their future plans. Can Kanter stand rotting away on the bench all year, not improving, and decreasing his chance of a big pay day once he hits free agency?

3. He risks getting injured without a long term contract to fall back on during that year.

If he doesn't get good offers, he'll STILL get more money next year, even if he doesn't improve, because the cap will go up.

And if the Jazz wouldn't be willing to play him minutes, then they wouldn't agree to the QO in the first place.

I think you misunderstand me let me explain

- I want to develope a winning culture now with Hayward, favors, Gobert and exum. to be honest I don't see them losing to many spots in the lottery.

- I want kanter traded for an asset. I like the Batum idea a lot even if we give up a future first. so with the trade the jazz get another player in the trade.

- I believe in this draft it is loaded with wings and bigs. the jazz can get a solid player in the mid to late lottery.

let's assume the jazz make the trade with Portland for Batum. it actually makes sense for both teams.

exum, Burke - jazz are set at pg for a while.
Hayward, burks - jazz would be set at sg for a long while
Batum, hood, ingles - starting jazz are solid starting with Batum hood and ingles are weak. maybe hood is used in the trade.
favors, booker - jazz are very solid at pf and I like booker off the bench
Gobert, ? - good at center but need a vet to back up Gobert because he is still very young.

kaminsky would be a good pick up in the draft here or wcs drops to the jazz.

if say the jazz did make a trade for Noel then the jazz choose between Johnson, hezonja, booker or Winslow.

now you understand?
