Following potential 2015 draftees

I would guess 6'6 is about average for most SG's in the NBA. I think the average height is about 6'4 for SG's and most NBA players (especially wings) are around 2-3 inches longer in wingspan than height.

Length is something that helps you be a good defender, but it doesn't make or break your defensive abilities. Jimmy Butler is one of the better defenders in the league, at 2 or 3, and only has a 6'7 wingspan.

Alec Burks freaking blows on defense and he has a 6'10 wingspan.

*Most importantly* I don't see anything in Booker's athletic or physical measurements that hold him back from being whatever player he can be. It's not like we are dealing with a 6'1 SG.

Agree with the bigger point, but the number for the average wingspan is closer to 6'8. Here's the wingspans of the all drafted prospects(SG) in recent years:

The median is actually 6'7.5''. The list includes some prospects who are now SFs and some who are PGs, as a whole it evens out I think..

Oubre is nothing like Leonard or Green. What makes Green as good as he is are his smarts. He's a smart player, knows his limitations. Same with Leonard, he seems like a pretty basketball smart player. I don't know enough about Oubre to say that he's that kind of player.

Then how can you say he is "nothing like" them? Oubre isn't an athletic freak, he has to rely on smarts as well. His numbers are very similar to Leonards across the board. Leonard was the better rebounder, Oubre a more efficient scorer.

Just looking at the numbers in there database listed under SG, there are some really big outliers in there, like T-Mac and Inglis.

They are nothing alike (besides having huge wingspans), at all, at least at teh college level.

So having an opinion on this board now gets this kind of insult/abuse?

I used to respect you.
I'm not abusing you at all. In fact, I'm trying to help you. 6'6" is a good to great height for a SG. The JJ comparison is bad because he is undersized for a SG and now is a defensive liability for the Clippers.

I thought all these things were obvious.

The comparison is more than just 6'6 height (which is not official yet neither). Booker is more or less a spot up shooter now and that is who JJ Redick is.

If Booker can show me more of a dribble drive/slashing/off the dribble game than I'd lean towards Klay, but as of now he hasn't yet.

Comparing all 3's Freshman year in college, JJ was the most complete player of the 3 and Thompson was easily the least complete of the 3.

Klay Thompson got to the FT line an amazing .9 attempts per game. That is the definition of just being a spot up shooter. *That is with 33 minutes per game btw*

Booker manages to get to the line 1.8 attempts per game despite only 21 minutes per game.

Booker is also the biggest of the 3, when comparing weight, during their Freshman year. His UK day measurements also show signs of him being the most athletic of the 3. UK day measurements show so no sign of bias since a lot fo the players had worse measurements in that combine compared to other ones they had done in the past.

You said physically they're similar. You had nothing to say about their style of play...don't go changing your argument.
