Jazz Bucks Trade, Would You Do It?

With the rumors so far it seems like the trade that has gotten the most traction is:

Kanter for ilyasova and a 1st round pick

So would you do that?

WE aren't necessarily signing a max player. We could get a couple in the 7-8M range. The important point is that Ilyasova is horrible and, IINM, has two more years left on his contract. So we get the #18 pick in the draft for giving Milwaukee a decent asset AND cap relief? Much better chance of getting a better return for Kanter in a S&T. Or, just rescinding his QO and signing 1-2 FA's who would actually contribute to the team.

This deal is practically less than nothing. What could the Jazz do with $8MM in cap space that he eats up next year? That is your give up. A player clearly on the downhill slide. Picking up a 17th pick in the draft to get
