Question: Does this mean we can finally start calling him Penis Kanter?

Yes, but not penis ****er ok?

So we sent out a 22 year old and 31 year old and brought back a 21 year old. Wonder if this shifts the Jazz ranking to youngest in the league.

I'm wondering what type of player would have become Kanter after 4 seasons under Jerry Sloan.

I'll tell you...he would have played 3 minutes a game his first season and marginally more each year. Kanter lacks the physical ability to play defense in the nba. Jerry would have Fessed him.

Eh, the final year with Jefferson and Millsap was where the Jazz' strategy was long visible long before Lindsay was hired. Everything the Jazz had done since they acquired Jefferson and the subsequent Williams trade was to try and compete with that group until their contracts were up and then have oodles of cap space and a bevy of young talent and make decisions then. The year prior the Jazz had made the playoffs and were still in line for the playoffs at the trading deadline. The Jazz never had any intention of fire selling when their plan to see what happened that next off season was half a season away and they could still make the playoffs.

Assigning Lindsay to Millsap's and Jefferson's free agency is erroneous.

The Lindsay era truly started with the GSW trade.
He became GM in August of 2012. Why/how were his hands tied for the first 11 months of his tenure? any links to support this claim?

My memory tells me you were not a fan of that trade, either.
I was ok with it.

Dennis Lindsey > KOC

It's not even close either.
You can't be serious with this right? Jazz haven't sniffed the playoffs as a result of DL's direction. KOC built the 2nd greatest jazz squad that we'll ever see, and had us as consistent contenders for 3 years in a row. Let me know when DL builds a jazz team that makes it to the WCF. I hope DL rights the ship. But at this point it's OKAY to criticize some of his actions. How do you think he has done a better job than KOC?

You can't be serious...DL has been on the job, full control for 2 years. Are you blind to the progress that has been made? We are on the verge of breaking out and it had nothing to do with that Neanderthal looking MF Kanter

Even though it was unprofessional of Enes to publicly say he wanted to be traded, at least he didn't tweet about crying tears of joy after being traded like Reggie Jackson did.

Yeah that was a jerk move. What a putz.

Yup that's great, yet we have the same record as we did a year ago. All I'm saying is that for the "DL > KOC, and it isn't really close" argument to be valid, DL needs to get the Jazz to the WCF, which isn't gonna happen with this core group of players going forward

Negative Nancy Alert: stay away fellas

Quit being a tool.

This is the equivalent of blaming Obama for the economy his first year in.

Dennis Lindsey was hired as a co-GM. With the idea of him eventually taking over.

Dennis wasn't going to come in and start making major moves from day 1

You clearly have no vision for the future.

This team is going to be much better than the DWill and Boozer team.

Besides, half of this team is KOC's. Including that bust Enes Kanter.

You sound like Patrick Kinahan when he said that Hayward is the best player since the statues. People are quick to forget how damn good that 2007-2009 jazz team was

If you look beyond the record this year's team is better than last year's. Through 53 games last season the Jazz had an average point differential of -5.9. For this season the average differential is -2.4 for an improvement of +3.5. Even not going into the numbers, the Jazz have been in games a lot more often this season than last. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the team finishes this season. Last season the Jazz went 6-24 after the All-Star break. I'm optimistic that the Jazz will go from being to competitive to actually winning some more games this year.

Man, if you're going to post with the best team in the NFLs logo, at least get it right.

I think it is way to early to be debating the KOC v DL. KOC had a full career with repeated playoff runs and WCFs. Lindsey is new and was given a rebuilding team and is trying to develop what we have and build long term.

But as for this group of players not being enough...Favors adn Gobert are one of the best big defensive duos in the NBA. Defensively they are elite. Hayward willl be an allstar if he keeps up his current numbers. He is playing amazing basketball. Plus all three of them are still improving. Exum has the tools to be amazing but time will tell.

That didn't even get into Burks and Hood who have been injured and have lost out on this years development.

Plus the Jazz could have a great backup PG in Burke with a little improvement.

I think this core is going to be amazing. Especially if DL lands a coveted free agent and another great draft pick. (DL is doing geat with keeping drafted talent)
