Ok, I can agree with that.
I think the reason Boozer was garbage was because his defense was woefully suspect and he has a penchant for getting injured. Now that we have that out in the open you might or might not agree. Now what? Argue about who is right or wrong? Again, I dont get it. You think Boozer was great, I dont. I think he was a good player with some major deficiencies. We went as far as we could with him. Again, thats now out in the open. You might agree or you might not.
Now what?
Well said. Repp'ed once the stupid rep thing thinks 3 reps in 24 hours is not "too much rep given".
I think you have really pushed people away from Boozer the way you continually harp on it Sloan. I like him for his offensive ability and an unreal knack for being where the ball is to rebound. The guy was a light-footed, athletic, Karl Malone-level finisher at the rim, and even from 20 feet out. He has offensive moves no one in the league can touch right now, except of course Griffin but Griffin is a freak of nature.
My biggest beefs with him were 1) his lack of defensive ability/effort - someone on this board said it best back on the old board I believe when they said he moves like a ballerina on offense, but like he has a volkswagen on each foot on defense and 2) he was the antithesis of a team player, and yes largely due to what he did off the court. You may discount what goes on off the court, but it matters. Idc if he is everyone's buddy, but the way he approached the game, like it was just business, that he cared for nothing but his paycheck, that he didn't support anyone else in their desire to win, didn't sit well with other players. We heard Deron comment on it at times, the way he called out nameless folks for not caring about the game (AK also springs to mind - vacation plans?).
But viny is right. We disagree and the issue has been rehashed ad nauseum. Your inability to admit a single flaw and your constant, seriously non-stop, harping on how he made us a better team and how wonderful he is and how he is the second coming of whatever, invites argument and eventually scorn and pity.
