Not sure what confuses you about this. The Jazz rerouted him"Dennis Schröder is being rerouted to the Detroit Pistons as part of the Jimmy Butler deal, sources tell me.

If this was one and the same deal, we never had him.Not sure what confuses you about this. The Jazz rerouted him
It will be interesting to see how the final trade is officially recorded. If this was one and the same deal, we never had him.
But nevermind, I am just hung up on this stupid detail for some bizarre reason.
We traded Drew Eubanks and Patty Mills. We gained KJ Martin and 5 seconds. What did we lose and what did we gain out of these three trades over the last week?
Big game hunting....I thought danny hates 2nd round picks?
Nikola Jokic, Khris Middleton, Draymond Green, Jalen Brunson, Dennis Rodman etc. Jimmy Butler and Desmond Bane were right at 30.Sure, if you are in a position where you need back end roster talent.
So, if I'm understanding right, we HAD to waive JHS and decided to waive Richardson (plus trading Schroeder, of course) for the privilege of this pick and Martin. With the seemingly, low value of this pick it appears that basically Jazz decided that kicking tires on Martin was better than on JHS.

Thought it was unguaranteed.Martin is also owed 8 million guaranteed next year.
You rightThought it was unguaranteed.
"Golden State has officially traded Dennis Schröder to the Detroit Pistons, who also received Lindy Waters III and a second-round pick from the Warriors. The Pistons announced the move as “part of a series of transactions,” part of the mega-trade that saw Jimmy Butler dealt from Miami to Golden State. Not sure what confuses you about this. So the Jazz technically got two seconds in the deal if I have my math right."Golden State has officially traded Dennis Schröder to the Detroit Pistons, who also received Lindy Waters III and a second-round pick from the Warriors. For the Pistons, the trade also saw KJ Martin relayed from Detroit (who acquired Martin from Philadelphia) to Utah with a second-round pick."
Yup, we never had him.
Yes.So the Jazz technically got two seconds in the deal if I have my math right.
